Abstract: There is provided a medicine management system capable of checking a receipt status and a dosage stage of delivered medicines even at a delivery source. The medicine management system includes a management server for managing a receipt status and a dosage status of medicines to be delivered, a first terminal having a function of notifying the management server of information indicating receipt of medicines when the medicines have been received, a second terminal having a function of notifying the management server of information indicating dosage of medicines when the medicines have been taken, and a third terminal having a function of acquiring from the management server and displaying information on a receipt status and a dosage status of medicines.

Abstract: A package for prepasted brackets mountable on the teeth of a patient wherein the bracket is mounted in a pod and is removable from the pod with adhesive on the back of the bracket so it can be directly placed in position on the tooth of a patient. The bracket includes a body and a base and a layer of light curable or otherwise curable polymer resin on the base which is later curable by use of light energy or otherwise. The package includes a carrier for the brackets and is enclosed by a flap over the top of the pod and held in place on supports or tabs extending upwardly from the bottom of the pod to prevent the polymer resin on the base from engaging the bottom of the pod. Stabilizing structure is provided in the pod to inhibit shifting of brackets during shipment.

The support portion has opposing surfaces and a slot extending therethrough and configured for receiving a looped extension member of a toy. The fastener device includes an elongate portion and a base portion pivotally coupled to the elongate portion. The elongate portion includes a distal end portion releasably securable to an engagement surface on the base portion. The elongate portion is configured to be received through the looped extension member of the toy so that the toy is releasably coupleable to the support portion.

Abstract: A handled gift box has the top inside the bottom, instead of top over bottom; and comprises a box, two handles fixed to the box though handle fasteners, one handle is attached to bottom box and the other is attached to top box and bottom box. Also, since the handled gift box comes either pre-decorated or undecorated, which can be chosen from different combinations of decorations, the gift givers are given the freedom to customize the present invention however they see fit. The handled gift box can be used for, but is not limited to, apparel, picture frames, light food items, books, and other items designed to lay flat in the gift-giving process.

Abstract: A dummy hair clipper head, or dummy blade, which is a form conforming to those dimensions of a hair clipper's stationary blade which are necessary for its compatibility with attachment guide combs, is employed in an attachment guide comb organizer which comprises a plurality of interconnected forms, whereby a plurality of attachment guide combs can be stored and organized. By interconnecting the forms with either a rigid, contoured or flexible means, with the options of placing them within a container and of making them releasable, the organization and storage of a set of attachment guide combs can be customized. For the purposes of storage the form can be flexible and have a reduced structure from that of the stationary blade. The use of the form also makes possible a variety of new uses for attachment guide combs including a scissor comb, razor comb, and conduit comb.

Abstract: A device and method for tape and reel packaging of small electronic components providing positioning mechanisms to allow one or more components to be placed in a desired orientation and alignment within a tape carrier pocket. The device is an insert fitting within the carrier pocket including positioning mechanisms such as protruding shapes, protruding ridges, and/or frame work, or the like, which engage with inner surfaces, outer surfaces, or perimeters, or a combination, of the component to be packaged. A method for tape and reel packaging including further delineation of regions within a tape carrier pocket for disposition of electronic components is also disclosed.

Abstract: A point of sale packaging assembly includes a support portion for supporting a toy and a fastener device. The support portion has opposing surfaces and a slot extending therethrough and configured for receiving a looped extension member of a toy. The fastener device includes an elongate portion and a base portion pivotally coupled to the elongate portion. The elongate portion includes a distal end portion releasably securable to an engagement surface on the base portion. The elongate portion is configured to be received through the looped extension member of the toy so that the toy is releasably coupleable to the support portion.

Abstract: Low waste packaging for use with a consumer product includes a planar tag element of a generally rectangular configuration having front and back planar surfaces upon which advertising indicia may be printed and a cut-out into which a portion of the consumer product is received. The packaging includes first and second semi-annular ring portions that may be assembled around the consumer product when received within the cut-out and affixed to each other through the planar tag element. The method for packaging a consumer product includes receiving the consumer product within a cutout formed in a lower portion of a planar tag element; and assembling two halves of a retaining member about an upper shank of the consumer product so that annular portions of the retaining members contact the consumer product and laterally extensive tags of the retaining members sandwich the tag therebetween.

The box shaped lower portion and the flat handle portion are formed by folding a single corrugated cardboard sheet that has been cut into a predefined shape. Packaging wine bottles using this package is done in two stages. First, collapsible half-formed packages are manufactured by cutting corrugated cardboard sheets into the predefined shape and folding the sheets. Second, the half-formed packages are collapsed and transported to another facility such as a winery, where bottles of wine are packaged using the half-formed packages.

Abstract: A package for individual wine bottles includes a box shaped lower portion having a top side defining a first cutout for receiving a bottom portion of a bottle and a flat handle portion joined to and extending vertically from the top side of the box shaped lower portion. The first step covers fabrication of at least one microstructured molded part using an initially closed tool which consists of at least one first and one second tool half. In the second step, both tool halves are opened, whereby the molded part remains in the first tool half. In the third step, at least the second tool half is replaced with at least one additional tool half. In the fourth step, the replicative fabrication of the magazine is carried out using the first tool half containing the molded part and the additional tool half. Finally in the fifth step, magazine and molded part are demolded simultaneously as one magazine/molded part composite.

The medication carrier includes an array of stalls and retaining means for securing the sealed unit dose packages within the stalls until a scheduled dosing time. One well-known brand of powdered cosmetics is the Bare Escentuals® line of make-up. The cosmetics organizer stores the powdered makeup in a substantially horizontal position by securing the cosmetics container within a one-piece body with a substantially flat top face and a substantially flat bottom face, the faces being substantially parallel. At least one circular edge defines a cylindrical receptacle within the body. The edge extends from the top face into the body. A receptacle base is located within the one-piece body between the top and bottom face, wherein the receptacle base is substantially parallel with said top and bottom faces. A series of receptacles are sized to hold cosmetics applicators, such as brushes.

Abstract: A form with a well has a form layer with a top and a bottom surface and a perimeter, a die cut through the form layer that defines a portion of said form layer within said die cut, a patch layer having a perimeter and top and bottom surfaces, and an adhesive layer that is repositionable and peelable. The patch layer is adhesively but removably secured to the bottom surface of the form layer such that the die cut and form layer portion are entirely within the perimeter of the patch layer. The form has a well, that is created by removal of the form layer portion from within the die cut. The bottom of the well is the top surface of said adhesive layer and the sides of the well are the edges of said die cut. The adhesive layer has a greater affinity for the patch layer than the form layer portion such that when the form layer portion is removed from the form, the adhesive stays adhered to the patch layer. Articles such as photographs may then be inserted into the well.

The disc package also includes a disc retainment section positioned proximate a second edge of the retention panel and overlaying at least a portion of the first surface of the retention panel. At least a portion of the disc retainment section is attached to the first surface of the retention panel to enable at least a portion of the disc to be positioned between the retention panel and the engagement section to retain the disc in the disc package.

Abstract: Method for the improved packing of stemmed produce in produce containers, and apparatus to perform the method. The present invention teaches a methodology based on the use of a packaging adaptor for insertion into a produce container, such as a berry basket. The adapter is formed as a substantially hollow, box-like structure having at least one and preferably a plurality of apertures defined in an upper surface thereof. The adapter, inserted into the container defines a first, lower compartment and a second, upper compartment. The adapter is inserted in the container, and the stem of the fruit, for instance a strawberry, is inserted therein. The stems are retained in the first compartment and the body of the fruit in the second compartment. In this manner, the relatively soft body of the fruit is precluded from contact with, and damage from, the relatively tough, woody stem portion of fruit.

Abstract: A holder structure for allowing a film cartridge of the Advanced Photo System to be stored and retrieved and a filing-box type album that incorporates the holder structure. The holder structure is constructed by forming a storage socket of a substantially identical shape to the lower half of a film cartridge and by extending a clamping plate portion having a locking projection in parallel with the storage socket. A container for film cartridges having the holder structure is inserted along with a pocket album in the outer casing of the filing-box type album. The container is identical to each of the pocket albums in style, or is a box-shaped container that is inserted above or below the pocket albums in a drawer fashion.

Abstract: A package suitable as a mailer for discs such as compact discs and computer floppy discs, has folded panels including a disc retention panel having a retaining tab thereon, and a pocket panel. The retention panel has raised sidewalls with edges facing each other and which are contoured to accommodate insertion of a disc therebetween. Tabs extend from an end of each of the sidewalls and toward the other of the sidewalls so as to define a space over the retention panel sufficient for accommodating a thickness of the disc and for retaining the disc in the package. The disc package has four spines at four respective side edges thereof to strengthen the disc package and to protect the disc retained in the disc package.

The sheet is bent along the first score line to form a front panel and a back panel, which extends in a first direction from the front panel, and bent along the second score line to form a bottom panel, which extends in a second direction from the front panel. A substantially U-shaped flap is formed in the front panel such that the two ends of the U contact the first score line. A tab extents from the bottom panel. A layer of adhesive is provided on the tab so that when the adhesive layer is contacted with the back panel to secure the tab to the back panel, the sheet can be formed into a triangular shape in which the holder is in a use configuration. Then the U-shaped flap can be bent out of the plane of the front panel and back towards the rear panel to accommodate goods, such as pamphlets, in the holder for display and dispensing. The holder can also be folded flat for storage or shipment.

The catheter is packaged in a coiled manner such that the distal tip is removable through a first hole in the package and the catheter may then be uncoiled and ultimately removed through a second hole in the package as the catheter is threaded through a needle for introduction into the patient.

Abstract: A device for storage and display of small, generally planar articles such as coins or the like, comprises one or more generally planar compartments for displaying a face of one or more articles. The articles are held in a cavity, preferably a closed, dust-tight cavity, of a generally planar article holder having a pair of opposed walls having the cavity therebetween. The article holder is releasably held in a display compartment by a generally planar retainer member which bears against an article holder which is correctly positioned in the display compartment. The article holder is also prevented from lateral movement in the display compartment and is thus held in an article viewing position in the display compartment whereby an article which is correctly positioned in the article holder is properly positioned in a display compartment and is viewable through an aperture in the retainer and through a transparent wall of the holder.

The apparatus includes a substantially rigid, planar member having a centrally disposed window for removably receiving an optical pellicle. The inner dimension of the window is only slightly greater than the outer dimension of the pellicle such that a frictioned fit between the planar member and the pellicle is achievable. The planar member includes an inwardly extending shoulder against which the pellicle can be seated. The shoulder extends inwardly no further than the thickness of the pellicle frame. The planar member also includes a biasing portion facing inwardly toward the window for yieldably holding the pellicle in place.

Abstract: A high speed drilling system is disclosed for high spped drilling of very small holes in workpieces such as printed circuit boards. The A-Y positioning system includes air bearings to provide lift between the stationary guide beams, the crossbeam and the top table, and further includes a vacuum preloading apparatus for providing a preloading force between the table and the guide beam. The preload force dampens Z axis oscillations which can result in drill bit breakage. The top table is a lightweight honeycomb structure, whose effective rigidity is virtually that of the guide beam due to the vacuum preloading. The system includes pairs of spindles, one a conventional spindle for drilling holes large than about 0.125 inches, and the other a high speed spindle for drilling holes in the range of about 0.003 to 0.125 inches. The high speed spindle includes a stationary spindle body carry the stator of the rotary drive motor. Only the spindle rotor is translated along the Z axis to perform the drilling movements.

The device includes a flat resilient pressure element pressing against one side of the diskette, and a holding catch facing the pressure element so as to engage complimentary recesses in the confronting side of the diskette. Side connecting devices are formed on opposite sides of the devices, for interconnecting several such devices.
