Abstract: A transparent silicone cover and accompanying transparent silicone securing bands that safeguard a glass pharmaceutical vial from shattering or cracking as a result of handling by automated dispensing units, patients, or medical or veterinary staff while simultaneously allowing inspection and reading of an enclosed vial, its contents and all labels in their entirety, as well as scanning of barcodes in the clinical setting. The main body provides a cylindrical lumen for the vial to rest in securely while effectively protecting the vial's sidewalls and base. One side of the main body has a narrow slit from top to base which also extends inwardly partially across the base, allowing the main body to flex open, offering easy insertion and removal of a vial. The transparent silicone securing bands fit tightly over the main body to further safeguard the enclosed vial. The entire assemblage is autoclavable, hypoallergenic, microbe resistant, removable and reusable.

The flexible sheet includes a center portion having a first side, a second side, a third side, and a fourth side, the first side being parallel to the third side and the second side being parallel to the fourth side. Flaps are connected to the first side and the third side, and bow portions are connected to the second side and the fourth side. The bow portions tie together to form a decorative bow.

The container body, which is made of a one-piece panel structure having a plurality of folding lines provided thereon, includes a bottom wall, a top wall, a front wall, a rear wall, and two side walls to form a substantially cubic structure of the container and to define a receiving cavity. The packaging reinforcing arrangement includes two reinforcing walls integrally extended from two side edges of the bottom wall to the two side walls respectively, and supported within the receiving cavity at a position that a front reinforcing edge and a rear reinforcing edge of each of the reinforcing walls are biasing against inner surfaces of the front and rear walls of the container body for effectively resisting an external impact force.

Abstract: A liquid container comprising a bottle extends along a longitudinal axis X between a bottom of the bottle and a neck axially opposite to the bottom of the bottle. The container comprises a protection shell including a hollow body that is elongate along the longitudinal axis X and surrounding the bottle. The hollow body delimits an internal space extending axially from a first opening situated towards the bottom of the bottle to a second opening situated towards the neck. The protection shell also includes a cover blocking the first opening and arranged axially facing the bottom of the bottle. The neck is entirely contained in the space. The cover is fixed to the hollow body by a mechanical link that can be established manually.

Abstract: A removable collar of flexible, absorbent material fits over the neck of a bottle. The collar absorbs liquids that drip from the bottle. The material is initially shaped as an isosceles trapezoid. The collar is formed into a truncated, generally conical shape by overlapping two opposing vertices at each end of the shorter parallel edge of the trapezoid to form a point at a lower end of the collar to produce the appearance of a “cravat.” A vertex at the longer edge of the trapezoid overlaps a portion of the shorter edge of the trapezoid and is secured to the overlapped portion at a single point. The generally conical collar has an upper opening that expands to allow the collar to pass around the enlarged flange near the top of the bottle. The upper opening snaps back to an original size to fit against the neck of the bottle.

Abstract: Erectable packaging including a bottom, first and second parallel lateral walls (3, 4), and third and fourth mutually opposite lateral walls (5, 6), with the third and fourth lateral walls able to be displaced between a storage position and an erected position. The bottom and the lateral walls are made from a cruciform blank, the lateral walls including two flaps (16-19) articulated on each lateral wall. The flaps are all folded parallel to the first and second lateral walls and include slits (21) and lugs (23) that engage by being fitted together so as to limit the displacement of the third and fourth lateral walls. The bottom and the lateral walls are connected to each other in a leak proof way by a flexible membrane (20).

Abstract: A method to aid designing flexible packaging for wrapping around a solid object and finalizing the packaging. The method includes accepting a description of the surface of a sheet of packaging material after wrapping around the solid object and finalizing, using a mapping of points in the 2D plane of the sheet of the packaging material to the corresponding points in the 3D surface of the wrapped and finalized packaging. The method further includes displaying the surface of the wrapped and finalized packaging or displaying graphic elements on the surface of wrapped and finalized packaging. A version includes pre-distorting graphics to correct for any distortions to graphics that occur during the wrapping and finalizing process, and generating press-ready graphics from the pre-distorted graphics for printing onto the surface of the sheet of packaging material.

The closure includes an openable closure member and an outer wrapping that covers at least a portion of the closure member tightly so that upon opening the closure member, content of the container escaping under the effect of the pressure deforms and/or forces open and/or sets vibrating the wrapping while producing a sound.

Abstract: The present invention provides bottle sleeves for bottles, such as beverage bottles. Bottle sleeves of the present invention include a rib. In one embodiment of the present invention, the bottle sleeves comprise a sleeve sidewall including a partially cylindrical sidewall section and a rib, wherein the sidewall is continuous with the rib. In another embodiment of the present invention the bottle sleeves comprise a substantially cylindrical sidewall and a rib such that the rib overlaps the sidewall. Ribs of the present invention include at least one rib stiffener that is positioned inside the rib interior.

Abstract: A blank for adorning a receptacle, typically a bottle. The blank has a body portion defined between a pair of side edges which can be wrapped around a body portion of the receptacle with the pair of side edges brought together in overlapping manner behind the bottle body portion and which can be fixedly connected together. The blank is further provided with a pair of limb portions having interlocking slits, provided proximate their tips, which extend upwardly of from the upper edge of the blank and at a generally acute angle thereto so as to be capable of being curved around the neck of the bottle and connected to one another to prevent the blank from sliding downwardly off of the bottle. One surface of the blank may be printed with the design of a garment such that the blank and the receptacle work symbiotically to give the impression that the bottle is of human form dressed in the garment. Additionally, portions of the blank may be designated as areas on which a written message can be inscribed.

Abstract: A gift wrapper comprises a flexible, panel member and a fastening device. The flexible panel member has front and back opposing sides, upper and lower edges, first and second opposing edges, a first hole substantially near the first opposing edge, and a second hole substantially near the second opposing edge. The respective ends and portions of the fastening device are threaded through the respective holes from the back side of the panel member, and project out on the front side of the panel member. Accordingly, the front side of the panel member defines an outer surface of the gift wrapper, and, the first end and second end of the fastening device are attachable on the front side of the panel member to retain the gift wrapper.

Abstract: A container for a beverage or other foods or household goods includes a wall with a display generating digital images. A controller is also provided associated with a memory, said memory storing digital imaging data. The controller selectively retrieves the data from the memory and generates electrical signals to the display. Switches, sensors and other selector elements may be provided to activate the display and to select the images to be shown. Additionally miniature speakers may also be provided which cooperate with the display to show multimedia presentations.

Abstract: The method for forming a packaging (1) for a plurality of containers (2) arranged in lines and rows involves wrapping the group of containers with a section of heat-sealable plastic film (3), the two end flaps of which overlap so as to be able to be heat-sealed with one another. Pre-cut lines (5), parallel to the direction in which the film itself extends, are formed beforehand in the film. The pre-cut lines are positioned at a distance from one another and, in the finished packaging, each pre-cut line is arranged between two adjacent rows of containers. One side of the film used is provided, in the position where a longitudinal pre-cut lines is already present or is to be formed, with a strip-shaped area which is not heat-sealable when it comes into contact with the film itself. The width of the strips which are not heat-sealable is chosen so as to cover the maximum overlapping imprecision due to the packaging machines.

Abstract: A package wrap for decoratively covering a container having side walls defining an interior space for carrying a product therein, includes a flexible thin sheet of polymeric material adapted to be shrink-wrapped onto the exterior of the container. An illuminating or a sound producing device is positioned between the flexible thin sheet of polymeric material and the exterior of the container so that when the flexible sheet of polymeric material is shrink-wrapped onto the container, the illuminating device or the sound device will be held securely in place. The illuminating device is adapted to be illuminated upon activation by a pressure, motion, or acoustically sensitive switch. The sound device is adapted to produce an audible signal upon activation by a pressure or motion sensitive switch. When the illuminating device is activated, illumination therefrom will be visible through the flexible thin sheet of polymeric material to enhance and highlight a printed pattern on the exterior of the package wrap.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a box insert for protecting bottles. The box insert is formed from a piece of cardboard with fold lines. When the cardboard is folded along the lines and a bottle is placed within the cardboard, the bottle's sides are surrounded by cardboard. At least one bottom and top cut am provided through the cardboard across one of the fold lines. When the cardboard is pushed below the bottom cut and above the top cut, the cardboard folds inward to create a bottom and top indentation to hold the bottle away from the bottom and top of the box. If the bottle has a neck, the top indentation is positioned next to the bottle's neck above the body of the bottle. Usually the top indentation is formed from two top cuts. The inserts and bottles are then placed in a box for shipping. The cardboard inserts provide cardboard indentations that cushion and provide a small space between the bottom and top of the box.

One specific embodiment of the enclosure comprises a pliable, elongated, substantially rectangular panel member having opposing ends and a tongue portion extending from one of the opposed ends. The panel member has an outer layer of bendable kraft board and an inner layer of corrugated paper adhered to the kraft board. The panel member is adapted to be formed into an enclosure by bending the panel member into the configuration of the peripheral wall of a container with the tongue portion overlapping the opposing end of the panel member. A slot is formed through the panel member adjacent to the end which is opposite to the tongue portion end. A plurality of T-shaped corner glue tabs are formed in the corners of the production blank and are adhesively secured to the lower side and end panels when the production blank is erected to a completed carrier. The T-shaped glue tabs act as an exceptional reinforcing strip on the corners while their shape and placement are designed to round out or soften the corners rather than have sharp piercing corners typical in prior art carriers. Sunburst bottle receiving openings are positioned in the central panel along with at least one opening for use in carrying the package.

A die-cut blank is first formed with a rear wall section and a pair of front wall sections. Each section is of a height sufficient to receive the largest diameter of the egg-shaped container therein and includes depending lower flap portions. The bottom is formed by folding and gluing the lower flap sections. The resulting carton has a first, flat position in which the bottom wall is folded up between the front and rear walls, and a second, open position where the flap sections, which are already secured to form a folded bottom section, are automatically unfolded or extended to form a double-thickness, hexagonal shaped bottom wall.
