Abstract: A portable pencil pocket 10 has one or more compartments for holding pencils 40,42. The pocket is made of plastic webbing that is folded at one end to form a pocket 20 and at the other end to form a loop 22. A shower clip 50 holds the pocket 10 to an article of clothing, such as a belt loop or button hole.

Abstract: An implement holder to be attached to a cap or hat is provided. The holder is designed to be affixed to the side portion of the cap proximal the edge. The holder is an integral unit including a first leg, second leg and third leg. The first leg and the second leg are interconnected to form a first jaw or clamp, the first leg to be received between the cap and the head and the second leg to remain outside and flush to the cap. The first leg is resilient and includes means to maintain attachment to the cap. The side of the cap is placed intermediate the first leg and the second leg. The third leg and second leg are interconnected and form a second jaw or clamp which has the general shape of an U-shaped channel. The U-shaped channel is generally parallel to the cap when the holder is affixed thereto. The channel includes a plurality of longitudinal ridges located on the interior channel walls of the third leg and second leg. The second jaw may receive a pencil, pen or other elongated implement.

Abstract: A writing instrument that may be secured or attached to an article, such as a credit card. The inventive writing instrument is configured in the form of a cylindrical casing having at least two opposingly biased resilient jaws or projections extending therefrom, a writing element disposed within said casing and a cap for covering the writing point of the writing element. A credit card or similar article can be easily and conveniently inserted between the resilient jaws or projections and will be securely retained therein.

Abstract: A holder for long slender implements such as pencils and pens is disclosed. The holder comprises a support member which is preferably a thin web having opposed side surfaces. The web includes at least one opening that communicates with each of the side surfaces. Each side of the opening is surrounded by a plurality of flexible fingers which extend away from each side surface in a converging relationship so that the flexible fingers form a hollow frusto-conical shape that is preferably divided into equal segments. A long slender implement inserted through an opening in an outer end of the frusto conical shape forces the outer ends of the flexible fingers outward. The pressure exerted by the flexible fingers holds the long slender implement securely. The holder may be provided with a resilient clip, an adhesive or a magnetic base for attaching the holder to a variety of suitable surfaces.

Abstract: Auxiliary holder for releasably stowage of a tensionable measuring tape, comprises a back panel formed of leather or like material. The back panel has a front surface terminating in top, bottom and side edges. In one embodiment, a pair of slots are formed in the back panel after which a front panel is attached therebetween wherein a tight-fitting pocket is formed. The back panel also includes a rectangular notch or opening used to stow the cantilevered leg of the rear drop shaped clip of the measuring tape. Attachment of the holder to the user's body is via serpentining the user's belt through the pair of transversely spaced slots constructed in the back panel wherein the serpentining begins at one of the slots in which the non-buckle end of the belt passes through from the front surface of the back panel through the slot and thence along the rear surface of the back panel and out the other of the slots.

Abstract: A quick connector for fast connection of fluid carrying assemblies such as a mating tube and a fluid unit. The connector includes a connector body which houses the connector components and accepts a redundant clip which is adapted to engage an upset bead of the male tube. The redundant clip is generally L-shaped and includes a retaining head which is inserted into the connector body and is adapted to engage the upset bead, a body portion which extends along the side of the connector body and in the preferred embodiment is contoured to mate with the connector body and a base member which includes a camming edge for facilitating the insertion of the retainer head into the connector body.

Abstract: A writing instrument holder includes an ear clip receivable and supportable on an ear of a wearer, and a clamp attached to the ear clip for releasably clamping a writing instrument. The holder is specifically intended for holding carpenters' pencils.

Abstract: A mounting member for removably securing conventional items, such as flip up and down glasses, compasses, pedometers, pouches, purses, cases, clips, holding members, flashlights or pen lights, and watches to support articles, such as baseball caps, head sweat bands, clothing, footwear, parts of a person's body, posts, steps, and moldings where the support articles have convex, concave or stepped surfaces, the mounting member being provided with transverse hinges between sections thereof to permit the sections to pivot both upwardly and downwardly relative to each other so that the mounting member can be positioned on a curved article, where the hinges can have flexible accordian-like portions to permit the sections to pivot or swing transversely from side to side relative to each other to provide a curved arrangement. One of the sections can include an adjustment member to position the flip up and down glasses relative to a wearer's eyes.

Abstract: An article holder having adjustable loops comprises a foundation piece having a slot therein for receiving a looped strip of flexible material therethrough and locking structure comprising a member having greater width than the slot, positionable beneath the slot, for frictional engagement with the looped strip and through the looped strip when the member is beneath the slot.

Abstract: A holder is disclosed which comprises a body having a cavity with an opening for receiving an object to be held, for example a pen, a spring member is disposed in the cavity and the spring member is deformable by the object inserted into the cavity to hold the object against the wall of the cavity.

Abstract: An article of manufacture for holding pens or pencils which includes a plate having attached thereto adjustable clips for holding the pen or pencil. The plate is designed to be worn as a pin on an article of clothing, to be attached to a necklace or chain, to be part of an article of jewelry such as a bracelet, or to be attached to an object that is carried, such as a book, notebook, book bag, etc. While the plate is generally planar, it can be non-planar, such as a bowed member for use with a bracelet.

Abstract: Device for fixing a pencil or the like on a security hat of the type comprising a sheath disposed at the base of the hat, constituting a cavity which extends from top to bottom and is open at both ends thereof. The device comprises a generally flat member which is formed of a slight curvature enabling it to rest against the surface of the security hat. A hook is formed from the member enabling to introduce and hold a pencil or an object of the same type. The flat member comprises a tongue intended to be introduced in the cavity by snapping thereby preventing the exit of the tongue once the latter is in position in the cavity.

Abstract: A writing instrument packing kit assembly comprises a body and a lid member joined together so as to be detachable. The body is provided in its bottom with a holder portion adapted to assure that the tips of writing instruments packed therein are clamped and held in place and around an open end with an inclined surface portion inclined slightly, gradually and outwardly from the open end and a recessed portion in the vicinity thereof, and the lid member is provided on the inner-peripheral side in the vicinity of its open end with a suitable number of projecting pieces to be inserted into the recessed portion in the body and on its inner periphery with a thickened portion to be joined to the inclined surface portion of the body.

Abstract: A writing instrument kit is set forth wherein a writing instrument is provided with a cap and body portion, each of a generally cylindrical configuration defined about a single axis, wherein the cap or body portion is each provided with a hook and loop fastener surface. The hook and loop fastener surface of the body portion is in surrounding relationship to the body and is optionally provided with slots for reception of a flexible sleeve formed with complementary projections receivable within the slots for use of the instrument without abrasion to an individual's hand. The kit includes a cleaning member and a securement pad formed with a hook and loop fastener surface for adhesive securement to a support surface as desired by an individual.

Abstract: A book-like receptacle having a plurality of clear cylinders for holding crayons on opposing book surfaces. Opposing cylinders being aligned in registry to lock the book in the closed position. A sleeve in the rear cover of the book enables the user to secure a coloring book to the receptacle.

Abstract: The holder is a resilient arcuate clip of a size to fit on the handle section of a fishing rod. Outstanding therefrom is a series of resilient arcuate clips of different sizes to grip the smaller rod sections, whereby all the rod sections are held close together in side-by-side relation in a compact bundle.

Abstract: A receptacle for a pencil, tool or the like which is initially slidably carried upon a workman's suspender strap by use of loops. Typically, after the suspenders have been adjusted and sized to fit the body and suit the preferences of the workman intending to use the suspenders, the receptacle is axially displaced along and relative to the associated suspender strap until a location satisfying the desires of the workman is found whereupon the receptacle is stationarily anchored by one or more fasteners to the chosen suspender site so that inadvertent relative axial displacement thereafter is prevented.

Abstract: An assembly including a pen (or other writing implement) having a cap is designed so that the pen can be worn as part of an ornamental necklace. In particular, the assembly has a precious metal ring portion into which the cap of a writing implement such as a fountain pen can be slidably engaged or fitted, and the assembly also has a precious metal mounting portion joined to the ring portion by means of a precious metal connector portion, as well as has a pair of precious metal loops attached to opposite sides of the outer surface of the ring. Opposite extreme ends of a chain are fastened into these loops, and an ornamental decoration of ornamental stone(s) or other ornamental piece is mounted in the mounting position.

Abstract: A memo or check pad holder is disclosed which is designed to fit into an open shirt pocket and retain not only a memo or check pad but also writing instruments. The holder includes a cover foldable along a flexible hinge into front and back cover sections. The inside face of said one cover section includes means for retaining a memo or check pad. The opposite outer face of the same cover section includes high friction material designed to frictionally engage the inside fabric of an open pocket to resist removal from the pocket. The inside face of the opposite cover section includes parallel spacer ribs extending along the inside face of the other cover section so that when the two cover sections are folded together the spacer ribs define a spacer pocket for receiving writing instruments clipped to a free edge of the same cover section extending generally parallel to the ribs. The ribs also prevent sideways slippage of the writing instruments from the cover section.

Abstract: A pencil holder having a main body which is adapted to fit within a shirt pocket is disclosed. A multi-biased spring releasably fastens the pencil holder to the shirt pocket and simultaneously retains pens or pencils placed within the pencil holder.

Abstract: An article holder adapted to hold pens, pencils or other articles, such as for example hand tools, is formed as a rigid receptacle having a pair of opposed side walls and at least one open end. A spring arrangement is positioned within the receptacle adjacent one open end for biasing articles placed in the receptacle through its open end towards one of the side walls, while also serving to resist transverse movement of the article with respect to the spring thereby to hold the article in a relatively fixed position in the receptacle, without disturbing the remainder of the spring so that the remainder of the spring is available for holding other articles placed in the receptacle. In addition, a stop ledge arrangement is provided in the receptacle adjacent its lower end to limit the depth of insertion of articles into the receptacle and to aid in holding the articles in a relatively fixed position therein.
