Abstract: A socket tether system is a traditional socket wrench having a socket tethered to the socket wrench. The system has a first lanyard which is configured to connect a tool and a user. The first lanyard extends between a first lanyard and a second lanyard. The second lanyard is configured to make a connection between the tool and an auxiliary tool. The lanyard system is configured to prevent an auxiliary tool associated with the tool from falling when the auxiliary tool becomes disengaged from the tool.

Abstract: A wrap bracket formed from a strap and a clamp to secure a cable bundle to a support. The strap includes an intermediate portion, a first portion extending from the intermediate portion in a first direction and a second portion extending away from the intermediate portion in a second direction opposite the first direction. The second portion engages the first portion to mount the strap to the support. The clamp includes a base that is secured to the intermediate portion of the strap. A first tab and a second tab extend in opposite directions away from the base. The first and second tabs wrap around the cable bundle to secure the cable bundle to the base.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for protecting a tether line within a pressurized pipe. As the tether line is extended and retracted, portions of the tether line are prevented from directly engaging jagged profiles formed in the pressurized pipe.

Abstract: A respiratory apparatus may employ ultrasonic welds. The ultrasonic welding may be used to join a variety of headgear, mask and accessory components. This process may enhance comfort, fit and/or performance of the joined components and/or overall mask assembly. A component may be a single layer component such as a textile or fabric, or a composite or multiple layer component such as fabric and foam composites, or outer fabric layers and inner spacer fabrics. Further, a component may be a strap, some other headgear component, a mask component, an accessory component or the like.

Abstract: A bag strap that converts a clear, zippered, plastic bag into a purse or a clutch. The strap has a clip or a hook attached to each end. When hooks are used the hooks each pierce the bag below the zipper and a guard covers the tip of the hook. Where clips are used the bag is not pierced and the clips attach below the zipper. For the clutch style version both ends of the strap are joined by a single hook or clip.

Abstract: Stabilizer for a television includes an elongate, rigid portion, a top flap flexibly connected at an upper end of the rigid portion for example by an integral hinge, and a bottom flap flexibly connected at a lower end of the rigid portion for example by an integral hinge. The top flap is attached to a TV by attachment structure and the bottom flap is attached by attachment structure to a support surface to thereby provide a rigid link between the support surface and the TV which prevents the TV from tipping over.

Abstract: Device carriers described herein can support a device therein and enable a user to readily attach, detach, and exchange the device with other objects and/or to a user for easy access. The construction can include both rigid and flexible parts that are formed together to both facilitate easy operation and be resistant to wear. The construction can further provide an elegant appearance.

Abstract: A ceiling concealed air-conditioning apparatus includes: a box-shaped air-conditioning apparatus body having an open bottom; and an exterior panel attached to an underside of the air-conditioning apparatus body. The exterior panel includes: a panel body covering the open bottom of the air-conditioning apparatus body; and a panel unit removably attached to a lower part of the panel body. The panel body includes an opening at an area where the panel unit is attached to the panel body, and further includes a string hanger to hang a string at a corner of the opening, the string hanger being integral with the panel body and protruding to an inside of the opening. The panel unit includes a holding part to hold the string on a surface of the panel unit facing the panel body, the holding part being integral with the panel unit.

Each of the clip members are biased in a closed position, and each of the clip members have teeth. The first clip member has a substantially U-shaped body formed by a single member having a first end meeting a second end. An attachment opening is formed through the second clip member. A coil line is connected on one end to the attachment portion of the second clip member. The coil line is connected on another end to the third clip member.

Abstract: A ruggedized housing for a portable radio is provided. The housing is formed of a front housing portion, a rear housing portion, and a battery cover. The front housing portion has a top surface with offset tapered edges, without any user interface radio controls. An antenna protective cover having offset tapered edges and a straight vertical side couples to the top surface. The offset tapered edges of the antenna protective cover align with the offset tapered edges of the top surface of the radio. The straight vertical side of the antenna protective cover aligns flush with the side housing of the radio. A lanyard through-hole feature is located and protected by a contoured end of the top surface and is located diagonally opposite a top tip end of the antenna protective cover. The top tip end of the antenna protective cover and the lanyard encasement are sloped in opposite directions.

Abstract: An adjustable, knotless button/loop/needle construct for fixation of cranial cruciate ligament deficient stifle. The adjustable, knotless construct includes two fixation devices (for example, two buttons) and at least one flexible, adjustable loop attached to at least one of the fixation devices (e.g., the buttons). Preferably, a needle is attached to each of the fixation devices (e.g., the buttons). The adjustable, knotless construct has an adjustable loop length and allows adjustment in one direction while preventing or locking the construct from loosening in the opposite direction, due to applied tensile forces. The construct and technique of the present invention provides an improved knotless system for cruciate ligament repair.

Abstract: An embodiment of an aid to help disabled persons use the bathroom independently. It includes a cord, attachable to a person's pants at its first end, and a loop which is affixed to the waistband of his or her underpants. The person inserts a clip which is at the second end of the cord through the loop, finally attaching the clip to a place where it may easily be reached, such as his shirt. When using the toilet, he may allow his pants and underpants to drop toward the floor, they being tethered to the cord and attached by the clip to his shirt. His hands may thereby remain free for necessary business. He may easily conclude by grasping the cord and pulling upward, retrieving his pants and underpants simultaneously, without having to bend over.

Abstract: A tension absorber produced from a flexible strand which is only loadable under tension and which tension absorber possesses the advantages of a chain formed from strand material but can be easily and cost-effectively produced. The strand is folded into three or more loop sections. Proceeding from the beginning of the strand a succeeding loop section arranged offset in the direction of the end of the strand follows each preceding loop section arranged offset in the direction of the beginning, until the last loop section has been reached. Each loop section has a loop which encloses a loop opening. At least one bow is formed from the strand by guiding a succeeding loop section by its loop through the loop opening of a preceding loop section arranged adjacent to it.

Abstract: A leash attachable animal excrement bag holder has a carabineer for engaging a leash, body-supported apparel or the like, a flexible, resilient and open-biased support hoop, and a bag suspended from the support hoop. A slide has a body and first and second holes passing entirely through. The first hole encompasses the support hoop at a first distinct location and the second hole encompasses the support hoop at a second distinct location. The slide operatively traverses the support hoop and thereby alters a bias of the support hoop from an open orientation suitable to receive or remove animal excrement bags to a more nearly closed orientation suitable to retain animal excrement bags. A coupling engages the support hoop with the carabineer.

Abstract: A tethering system for a remote-controlled device includes a tether line having a first end adapted to be connected to a ground support and a second end adapted to be connected to the remote-controlled device. The system further includes an anchor-point disposed between the first and second ends of the tether line, the anchor point having an eyelet for securing the tether line and allowing the tether line to slide through the eyelet during use. The anchor-point and eyelet enable the tether line to flex or bend and the remote-controlled device to maneuver one or more of over or around the target area without interfering with any nearby obstructions.

Abstract: A safety system for a two piece tree climbing stand includes a safety cable that is secured to the climbing cable of the tree stand so as not to interfere with the two pieces of the stand as the tree stand is maneuvered up a tree. An elongated resilient sleeve is adapted to surround both the climbing cable and the safety cable so that the safety cable is secured to the tree climbing cable until the sleeve is removed. The safety cable is adapted to be secured to the safety harness worn by the tree climber and to the climbing cable of the tree stand.

Abstract: The invention provides tie-down devices and related methods for securing oversized items in a vehicle trunk or rear storage compartment in preparation for transport. The tie-down devices include sections connected by a releasable buckle that allows for separately cinching the strap sections to desired lengths. The tie-down devices incorporate specialized connectors at each end in the form of at least one grip that is curved to attach to the edge of a panel on the vehicle and a latch that attaches to a fixed attachment mechanism at the opposite end.

Abstract: A closure assembly for closing an opening in a container includes a closure member including an engagement structure configured to engage the opening. A tether includes a connector portion, a first end, and a second end. The first end is coupled to the closure member and the second end is opposite the first end. A plurality of barbs are positioned at the second end of the tether, each of the plurality of barbs has a rigid construction. The plurality of barbs define a maximum splayed dimension to retain the closure member with respect to the opening. A movable joint couples each of the plurality of barbs to the second end. Each of the plurality of barbs is foldable about the respective movable joint so that the plurality of barbs define a dimension substantially smaller than the maximum splayed dimension to allow insertion through the opening.

Abstract: A tethering system for a remote-controlled device comprising a tether line having a first end adapted to be connected to a ground support and a second end adapted to be connected to the remote-controlled device. The system further includes an anchor-point disposed between the first and second ends of the tether line, the anchor point having an eyelet for securing the tether line and allowing the tether line to slide through the eyelet during use. The anchor-point and eyelet enable the tether line to flex or bend and the remote-controlled device to maneuver one or more of over or around the target area without interfering with any nearby obstructions.

Abstract: The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one aspect thereof, is a safety strap device that reduces the likelihood that a tailgate ramp will prematurely detach or disengage from a vehicle during the loading or unloading of an article via the tailgate ramp. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the safety strap device comprises a strap portion with a first end, an opposing second end, a block portion with an opening therein and more than one fastener for attaching said strap portion to both a prior art tailgate ramp on one end and the block portion on the other end. In a further preferred embodiment of the present invention, said safety strap device is adjustable to accommodate a wide variety or user applications, truck ramps and vehicles.

The anchoring device may be configured for engagement with a lockable container or structure having an articulating, lockable member. The system may include an anchoring device and a securing device, the securing device (e.g., a cable, chain, etc.) being configured to engage with portable objects and be secured by the anchoring device. In some aspects, an anchoring device may be for engagement with a lockable vehicle door or tailgate can include one or more anchoring members and at least one restraining member. In some aspects, the securing member may be a cable or chain having a closed loop that can be engaged with a portable object and a restraining portion of the anchoring device, and when the anchoring device is engaged with a lockable container or structure, the portable object may be secured thereto.

Abstract: An apparatus and method of using a gripping assembly for gripping a sheet of material and attaching the sheet of material to an object is provided. The gripping assembly has a continuous ring-like member having an opening defined by an interior tapered engagement surface, a disk-like member positionable within the opening. The disk-like member has an exterior tapered engagement surface which cooperates with the tapered surface of the ring-like member. A sheet of material, threaded between the engagement surfaces is gripped by the surfaces. The disk-like member has an attachment means with at least one passageway there through. A flexible tie member extends through at least one passageway of the attachment means and is for attaching the gripping assembly to an object.

The barrier sheet has at least one lateral dimension that is sufficiently wide to effectively block access to hand holds at least at a start of a climbing route on a portion of the climbing wall when the carabiner is received by the carabiner receiver and a piece of webbing, cable or climbing rope to which the carabiner is physically coupled is under tension. Related methods of use and kits of the climbing equipment are also provided.

Abstract: A sway brace attachment for firmly connecting to a beam and other flanged structures, and a method for manufacturing the sway brace attachment. The sway brace attachment includes a main body and an insert that is captured within the main body by a pair of set screws which also engage the flange. Preferably, a third set screw is supported by the main body and engages the opposite side of the flange from the pair of set screws. The main body can be generally rectangular in shape, with a top wall, a pair of side walls extending from the top wall and a pair of bottom walls, which extend inwardly from respective side walls in an overlapping relationship. The sway brace attachment can be used for bracing pipes and other loads, suspended below ceilings and floors, against sway and seismic disturbances.

Abstract: A flexible, closed loop device that includes at least one indecomposable knot formed that helps define a plurality of adjustable loops. The knot can be easily loosened so that the loop sizes can be adjusted. The knot is easily tightened and locked. In some embodiments, the device includes at least two indecomposable knots. The device is useful in the practice of yoga, Pilates, and other personal training exercises. The device is flexible and easily adjustable, allowing the user to more effectively target specific muscle groups. The fastening strap assembly includes a substrate having two sidewalls each formed along one side thereof in a longitudinal direction and spaced apart from each other; a substantially fishbone-shaped fastening member disposed between the sidewalls and adhered to the substrate, the fastening member having an elongate central rib and a plurality of fastening parts laterally extending from either sides of the rib and longitudinally spaced apart from each other, each fastening part having a plurality of hooks formed on a upper surface thereof; and a magnetic layer disposed between the substrate and the fastening member. The fastening strap assembly of the present invention has a unique sideway bending/curving function. Another aspect of the present invention provides a foam article, such as a seat cushion, including the sideway-bendable fastening strap assembly.

The device includes an elongate, flexible strap having a plurality of bores and a retaining member embedded within a platform body. The retaining member has first and second portions. The first portion has a first end which is passed through one or more of the bores of the strap to operatively connect the strap to the retaining member. The strap is placed around the object to be retained. The second portion retains the first portion in a closed position so that the object is retained securely but non-permanently. An adhesive between the platform body and the surface permanently fixes the retaining device to the surface.

Abstract: An adjustable, elastic strap that can be fastened to a golf bag on one end and pinned to a golf club head cover or a hook and loop type pad on the other end utilized to eliminate lost head covers and golf gloves caused by misplacing or forgetting the covers or gloves after use.

Abstract: A low-melt plastic fastener. According to one embodiment, the low-melt plastic fastener is shaped to include a flexible filament having a first cross-bar at a first end, and a second cross-bar at a second end. The filament, the first cross-bar, and the second cross-bar may be formed from the same material and may be molded as a unitary structure. Preferably, the fastener is molded as part of a length of continuously connected ladder stock. The plastic fastener is preferably made from a formulation consisting of about 60-99%, by weight, of a low-melt polyurethane and 1-40%, by weight, of a styrene acrylonitrile. The formulation is selected so that the filament melts when heated for about 10 minutes at 130-180° C.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for affixing, rigging or attaching objects, articles or vessels using a fabric case, two double O-ring sets and a cord with two adjustable loops each with a bead stopper or chock. The fabric case serves as a semi-rigid cladding sleeve within which the attached cord extends, making two loops, one each at the opposite ends, each with a threaded bead or chock. Using the bead, the cord loop is passed about and object and returned under two adjacent O-rings, then back over one and under the other of the same O-ring pair to secure the cord loop by means of pressure against the fabric case. In this manner, the semi-rigid fabric cladding sleeve serves as the support base for the pressure or tensioning of the double O-rings and works to fasten or rig the attached objects, articles, or vessels.

Abstract: An anti-theft device in the form of a cage created from high security steel cable for use with a motorcycle helmet to secure the helmet to a motorcycle in order to prevent the helmet from being stolen when the helmet is not in use. The cage opens via a draw string type opening to capture the helmet therein and closes to prevent the helmet from being removed from the cage. A closure cable forms the draw string type closure for the cage and has a closure cable loop at each of its free ends so that the closure cable can be wrapped around the motorcycle and the ends secured together with a standard lock to secure the device and the captured helmet to the motorcycle. The device can be folded to store in a small storage space when not in use and the cable may be plastic coated or uncoated.

Mounting surfaces on the fixtures receive the flanges of the U-shaped sling. Threaded members affix the flanges to the mounting surfaces of the mounting fixtures. The sling includes metal strapping formed in a U-shaped curve about an axis perpendicular to the width of the strapping in a manner to create rigidity and strength.

Abstract: A fastener for fastening a heat sink and a heat-generating element includes a bended flexible main body, an upper hook portion, and a lower hook portion. The heat sink includes a plurality of fins. The upper hook portion extends from an upper end of the main body for matching the fins and hooking the heat sink. The lower hook portion extends from a lower end of the main body for hooking the heat-generating element.

Abstract: The invention is an apparatus and method for securing and protecting electronic devices, for example mobile phones, from impact. By utilizing a fastening device constructed of a flexible, stretchable or elastic material, an electronic device may be wrapped and secured in order to provide protection and prevent damage from impact. An apparatus in accordance with the present invention, for protecting an electronic device comprises, a body in the shape of a string allowing the body to create a loop around an electronic device to form a protective layer, a first fastening end at one end of the body for initiating said loop, and a second fastening end at the other end of the body to complete said loop.

Abstract: A receptacle lid assembly includes a receptacle that has an open top end and a closed bottom end respectively. The receptacle has a hollow chamber formed therein for receiving debris introduced into the receptacle. A receptacle lid is fitted over the top end of the receptacle. A mechanism maintains the lid in close proximity to the receptacle while the lid is detached from the receptacle, and the lid maintaining mechanism is directly connected to the lid and the receptacle.

Abstract: A safety device includes a garment shaped to be worn on a torso of a user. A flexible strap is attachable to the garment and extends from the garment on first and second sides. The strap has first and second ends. An elongated first fastener component is attached at or near the first end of the strap. An elongated second fastener component is attached at or near the second end of the strap. The first and second fastener components can be rotated to be aligned with, or oblique to, the strap. The first and second fastener components are capable of locking engagement with each other, and are shaped for being used individually as anchors while separated from each other.

Abstract: A fast looping-up and releasing rope loop assembly includes two one-way locking devices, at least one band, and a buckle. The one-way locking device includes a body constituted by a base and a cover. The one-way locking device allows the pull rope to extend therethrough and to move with respect thereto along a single direction. By inserting the pull rope through a rope entry opening of the base of the one-way locking device and further extending the rope around a rotary disk and a rotary wheel arranged inside the locking device and extending out of the locking device, the one-way locking device that locks the movement of the rope in an opposite direction is completed. When the rope is jammed due to excessive tightening, a presser of the buckle is depressed to release the one-way locking device from the jamming condition so that efficient loop-up and release can be realized.

Each of the rail assemblies comprises longitudinal rails extending in a longitudinal direction (the Y-direction) and lateral rails slidable with respect to the longitudinal rail as being spanned between the longitudinal rails. Each of the wire holders are slidable along the lateral rail.
