  • Patent number: 11874024
Abstract: The application discloses a humidifier with a mist outlet, including a water tank; a seat provided with a water groove for receiving water from the water tank and a heating cavity; a first water channel provided on the seat, communicated the water groove with the heating cavity; and a first air duct enabling airflow introduced by an air inlet component to flow through the first water channel to cool the water in the first water channel, and enabling the airflow to flow to the mist outlet of the humidifier after flowing through the first water channel. When the heat in the heating cavity is transferred to the first water channel, the water in the first water channel can be purged by the airflow guided by the first air duct to cool the water. This prevents an increase in a temperature of a humidifier housing.

  • Patent number: 9504954
Abstract: In one example, we describe a method and system that uses iron oxide as its sole sorbent, specifically micron-sized nano-porous iron oxide particles. The sorbent is housed inside a horizontally rotating sorbent bed. The horizontally rotating sorbent bed is housed inside of a larger secondary compartment. At the top of the secondary compartment, there is an escaped sorbent particle containment membrane. One example uses a self-cleaning horizontally rotating sorbent drum membrane design that unclogs particulates lodged in the membrane by reversing particulate air flow direction during a small portion (e.g., about 20 degrees) of each full 360 degree rotation of the drum. When air flow passes through the porous horizontally rotating sorbent drum's membrane, which occurs at the location where the rotating sorbent bed membrane comes into contact with the air feed manifold, particulates are air-dislodged from the inner facing surface of the drum's membrane. Other variations are discussed.

Abstract: An electronic vaporizing device that includes an atomizing device connected to an external shell. The external shell has an internal compartment that contains an airflow activated switch; a bottle of liquid; a liquid chamber; a battery; and a circuit board comprising a microchip. A user inhaling through the atomizing device triggers the airflow activated switch which in turn activates the microchip and the battery, causing the atomizing device to guide the liquid through the liquid chamber. The liquid is then vaporized by the atomizing device and can be inhaled by the user.

Abstract: An agitator (1) is for a liquid analysis system (3, 50). It has a chamber (5) for reception of a sample liquid. A passageway (6) from the bottom of the chamber (5) ends in an agitator chamber (7). A side wall of the agitator chamber (7) is formed by a diaphragm (8). The diaphragm (8) is connected to an electric motor (9) with an eccentric drive for reciprocating movement of the diaphragm (8). A gas inlet (10) in the opposite side of the body (2) is connected by a passageway (11) to the agitator chamber (7). The agitation chamber has a domed internal face opposed to the diaphragm, by which about 10% of the agitation chamber (7) volume is displaced by the inward movement of the diaphragm (8). Also, advantageously, there is a uniform application of displacement force within the agitation chamber (7) by virtue of the domed internal surface.

  • Patent number: 8377185
Abstract: This invention is a dust removal system for dust gas which comprises at least an atomizer. The atomizer comprises an atomizing chamber and an atomizing mechanism; the atomizing chamber includes an inlet for the dust gas and an outlet for the gas after mixture; the atomizing mechanism comprises a water chamber, the first atomizing ball, the second atomizing ball, an umbrella-shaped atomizer, and a regulating mechanism; the water chamber includes the first and second water inlet and the first and second water outlet; the regulating mechanism adjusts the fit clearance between the first atomizing ball and the first water outlet, the fit clearance between the second atomizing ball and the second water outlet, and the flare angle of the umbrella surface of the umbrella-shaped atomizer. The beneficial effect is: the two-stage atomization—coordinating the atomizing balls and the water outlets, and using an umbrella-shaped atomizer—guarantees the atomizing effect.

  • Patent number: 8317901
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to cyclonic separation or filtering of nanoparticles suspended in a gas. A plume of liquid droplets may be generated using an ultrasound or other generator. The gas may be mixed with the plume of liquid droplets, which may have received an electrostatic charge prior to mixing, to promote preferential adhesion of the nanoparticles to the liquid droplets. The gas with suspended nanoparticles and suspended liquid particles may flow through a cyclonic separator that spins rapidly, causing the cleaned gas to flow out of the filter while the liquid with adhered nanoparticles may be discharged, collected, and/or re-used in the plume generator. By causing nanoparticles to adhere to larger liquid particles, the filter may allow the filtering and collection of much smaller particles than current systems may filter under atmospheric pressure.

  • Patent number: 8296993
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an ultrasonic repellent humidifier for dispersing insect repellant into the air as a micro fine repellent vapor. A repellent tank provides rhodinol and cedarwood oil based repellent to a repellent well. An ultrasonic transducer is positioned in the well beneath the level of the repellent. It vibrates, forming a repellant vapor that is drawn into a vapor duct by a forced air system and out of the unit, dispersing the repellent vapor into the surrounding air. The vibrating portion of the ultrasonic transducer that is exposed to the oil-based repellent is a ceramic material that inhibits residue from forming on the transducer that reduces its efficiency. The ceramic material may be formed on the metal case of the transducer or on the piezoelectric oscillation crystal, or it may be a separately replaceable disc.

  • Patent number: 8181941
Abstract: A quasi-liquid of gas in bubbles of nanometer-scale, and devices and processes for making the quasi-liquid. A device includes a channel plate (30) through which an operating gas flows to form micrometer-sized bubbles in a liquid. The bubbles are compressed to nanometer scale by action of cooling and pressure in a hydrophobic liquid (20) or are further fragmented to nanometer scale by a laser. Alternatively, a device has vertical water column having a bottom insertion tube, a bottom exit port, a top extraction port, and a water inflow tube; and, a centrifuge adjoining the top extraction port. A storage gas is diffused into pores of a low-density, solid-content material such as aerogel. The material is then introduced through the bottom insertion tube into an underwater environment creating cavities and a quasi-liquid.

  • Patent number: 8128069
Abstract: Various embodiments are described for humidifying an air stream in a duct are described. In one form the duct is part of a humidification system in a building such as a residence or commercial structure while in another form the duct is part of a standalone unit. The described embodiments use ultrasonic elements for generating a mist composed of droplets and fog and the fog is drawn or pushed by an air stream towards a duct. The duct utilizes a dispersal structure formed of one or a plurality of tubes with openings and distributed at least partly across the duct so that the air stream in the duct can entrain the fog and distribute this in manner whereby the fog can quickly dissipate and evaporate for humidification of the air stream.
