Abstract: Disclosed herein is a self-contained group of cards or placards rotatable along a common axis. In some aspects said group fits within the boundaries of a fixed front and back wall and a tactile cue is provided on at least one wall to identify front or back. When compiled as a deck, the device has a first cover with an exterior and an interior face, a second cover with an exterior and an interior face wherein the interior of each covers faces the other, a pivot connected to each interior face between; at least one card with a pivot guide where through said pivot extends and around which said card rotates and a finger grab extended from at least one of said first and second covers.

Abstract: In embodiments of the present invention, improved capabilities are described for displaying and managing dynamic, multi-media, video content presentation on an architectural scale. Methods and systems described include associating a video display with an advertising marketplace and leasing rights to a video display. A plurality of physical panel, rod, curtain, blade, and fin video display arrays are described, as are methods and systems for managing and editing video for display and powering a video display that is associated with an architectural feature.

Abstract: A smaller sized flip dot display utilizes a magnetically actuated pixel that rotates between two orientations. The orientations display two different optical states. A simulated dot matrix design improves the aesthetics and consumer appeal, and also permits a flip dot display capable of producing a positive contrast display image with darker colored “ON” pixels contrasting with brighter background and “OFF” pixels by reducing the visibility of the spacing gap between each rotating pixel and the surrounding background. An interwoven configuration of magnetic actuators with a coil around each arm of a U-shaped core may result in lower power consumption, low production cost, and small size required for use in consumer and small mobile devices such as watches and mobile phones.

Each louver is provided with a pivot post and a drive post, and the drive posts of each louver are interconnected to one or more control rods hidden within the stiles of the shutter panel. Each louver is beveled to encourage movement between the open and closed positions, and to assist with the formation of a substantially flat surface when the louvers are placed in the closed positions. The substantially flat surface formed when the louvers are closed may include an aesthetic design applied thereon or engraved therein.

In one embodiment, the gate of the present invention is formed from a plurality of removable panels which define an outer facial surface of the gate. At least one portal is provided in the gate for limited protrusion of a pet's face into the portal only to the extent of the nose and eyes of the pet. The portal is provided about its perimeter with an artistic which enhances the outer appearance of the gate itself, and when associated with a pet animal's partial exposure within the portal, provides a striking and enjoyable, sometimes comical, visual alteration of the facial surface of the gate. In various embodiments, the artistic associated with a given portal in the gate may be changed employing plural artistics which are arrayed on a moveable mount which positions selected artistics in register with selected ones of a plurality of portals defined in the gate.

Abstract: A license plate transport mechanism includes a mounting bracket connectable beneath a vehicle support structure, such as a front bumper of a vehicle. The mounting bracket includes an elongate track with a pivot pin for pivotally mounting a license plate mounting plate. When the mounting plate is at a first end of the track, it pivots to a vertical position that is generally perpendicular to a base of the mounting bracket to display the license plate. The mounting plate is pivotable to a horizontal position generally parallel to the mounting bracket base. Once in the horizontal position, the pivot pin and mounting plate can move toward a second end of the track to store the license plate underneath the vehicle support structure.

In a tilting apparatus, with first and second tilting operations, one side of a first panel holder is angularly displaced with respect to the other side from a reference position. This can prevent the first panel holder from making any extra operation other than the first and second tilting operations with respect to a device body. Unlike any existing technology, in the invention, even when the first and second tilting operations are put into action, a first chassis is not displaced against the device body unless it is desired, e.g., displaced along front, and juts from the device body, thereby favorably leading to the operation with stability.

For example, one set of plates bears the names of the months of the year (or abbreviations of those names), another set of plates bears numerical dates, and another set of plates bears an indicator of the days of the week. The plates are arranged in a stack, with at least some of the plates covering the symbols on underlying plates. Separate, axially offset hinges enable selected plates to be rotated with respect to other plates, revealing the symbols on the selected plates while the symbols on other plates remain covered. The hinges enable a user to rotate the stack to a position where a selected plate in an upper set of plates is exposed while any overlying plates remain positioned behind a top cover plate and any underlying plates in the upper set of plates remain positioned behind the exposed plate.

Abstract: An image transferring device is disclosed having a support plate, a reflective plate and a core member adapted to support the support plate and reflective plate thereon. The core member includes an operative position stop member and a storage position stop member for each of the support plate and reflective plate. The support and reflective plates are angularly rotatably about the core member and each plate's angular rotation is restricted between the operative position stop member and the storage position stop member. In an operating configuration, the support plate is automatically positioned at a specified angle with respect to the reflective plate. In a storage configuration, the plates fold toward each other for easy storage.

Abstract: A combination advertising and warning sign for mounting in a retail store to display promotional materials and warn of spills and other hazardous conditions includes a housing and a movable warning arm. The housing has a front cover removably hinged to a horizontal edge of a base member. The housing can take a closed position in which the cover and base form a closed cavity concealing the warning arm. When the housing is closed, a display region for mounting the promotional material is visible at a front exterior of the cover. The housing can be opened by pivoting the cover about the hinges. When the housing is open, warning indicia are revealed and the warning arm can be pivoted horizontally to an extended position substantially perpendicular to the housing. A switch-activated audio alarm disposed within the housing cavity can also be operated.

Abstract: A versatile work board system having a board and hook assembly mounted to a rail assembly, and the rail assembly is mounted to a wall. A flip chart holder may optionally be hung on the board to add even more versatility to the system. The hook assembly is rotatable, thereby allowing opposite surfaces of the board to be easily and quickly exposed. The exposed surfaces may accept markers or the surfaces may allow tacking of documents, or one surface may be for markers and the other for tacking. The rail assembly includes a bracket designed to be attached to a wall and to mount a rotatable cam. The cam is received by a rail and rotation of the cam causes locking engagement of the rail to the bracket.

The display mounting plate is adapted for attachment to the wildlife object suspended the object thereon.

An attachment device is connected to the housing and provides that the housing may be attached to a vehicle window in such a manner that the housing projects generally perpendicularly outwardly with the respect to the vehicle window, with one or more preselected signal members being exposed and hanging downwardly from the housing for alerting passersby.

A catch mechanism releaseably holds the two sections flat against each other, preventing the pivotable section from unfolding. An electrical controller is attached to the back surface of the fixed section of the placard and senses when a condition to which the sign is responsive occurs. Upon the occurrence, the controller causes release of the catch mechanism, allowing the pivotable section to unfold under the force of a bias (e.g., spring) and/or gravity, or by an electric motive mechanism to display the front surfaces of both sections of the placard.

The display panels may be cantilevered away from the track system at a vertical elevation to provide clearance below the display panels for a seated worker. When the color strips are in a retracted position inside the case, the undulations in the color strips are aligned with the undulations in the free edges.

Abstract: A bill board apparatus for displaying multiple messages from a plurality of message segments. A series of message segments are arranged upon an axis so as to form a complete display message by a minimum of two segments. A swing arm or actuator arm that is in conection with the first sign segment of the plurality of segments turns each segment 180° in order to display a different message when the time has come to display a new message. A computer may be used to actuate the actuator and this may be programmed so as to display different messages for different lengths of time.

The solutions to the problems are selectively concealed and revealed by the teacher through the use of a solution cover.
