Abstract: A refuse receptacle accessory including a bag support assembly, a cover assembly and a receptacle assembly. A bag support is placed inside of a receptacle. The bag support includes flaps and slits that extend outwardly and away from the bag support along a perimeter thereof. The flaps and slits allow for enhanced airflow to occur within the receptacle to eliminate the vacuum that is created between the receptacle and the bag within. Further, a cover is mounted to a top side of the bag support. The cover is absorbent and scented to increase cleanliness and sanitation within the receptacle. The eliminated vacuum facilitates the removal of the bag from the receptacle in a manner that is efficient and easy to accomplish.

Abstract: The arrangement device includes a plurality of apertures in ring configuration. The apertures within each ring are tilted along a tangential angle with respect to the vertical. The apertures are uniquely defined and designed to receive specified stems of elongated items to be arranged. The apertures align the elongated items according to their tilt angles and are shaped to allow them to fall in a resting position approximating how the final arrangement will appear. The apertures have an inner wall angled allowing the elongated items to meet at a gathering point. They are gathered at a tie point and tied into a bouquet while each stem retains its tangential tilt. The arrangement device has legs allowing stems to be kept moist while using the arrangement device prior to being placed in their holding vessel. In an alternative embodiment, overlays may be added to identify items used in each aperture.

Abstract: The invention is directed toward a spill- and leak-proof container for floriculture items including cut flowers, stems, other horticultural items, and the like. More specifically, the invention includes a receptacle having funnel-like primary closure. The funnel-like primary closure includes a wider opening generally adjacent to and contiguous with the mouth of the receptacle. The narrower opening of the funnel-like primary closure is positioned in the interior of the receptacle. A secondary closure atop the wider opening of the primary closure ensures no liquid can spill.

Abstract: A cemetery flower holder that has a decorative cover that can possess convex and or acclivity shaped features to shield water and other undesirables away from the monument. Connecting to this cover is a tubular structure that can feature angularly and or radially expanding elastic tabs and or a foam structure. These are used to help retain the cemetery flower holder to the cemetery monument and or vase. Contained within the tubular structure are one or more flower retention devices, these connect to and extend through the decorative cover.

In addition a method for utilizing the devices to properly arrange the objects is disclosed.

Abstract: Per TITLE OF INVENTION, there is disclosed methods, apparatus and kits for attaching artificial flowers (particularly flowers formed with means such a passage to frictionally receive an artificial stem in assembly of an artificial flower plant) to a non-blooming live vegetation stem or branch that is not frictionally receivable in the flower passage, whereby a substitute stem that is frictionally receivable in the flower passage may be custom-formed from various commercially-available wire-like elements to provide (a) single or double free-end twist tie means for attachment of such single flowers to such live stems or branches or (b) means for attaching a plurality of such flowers to a non-blooming live bush in the manner of a string of Christmas tree lights.

A spherical apparatus may be suspended for decorative appeal. A foam center may be placed within the spherical embodiment to facilitate plant hydration and stability. The floral stems are guided through the plurality of apertures to form an arrangement that can be safely handled and delivered without loosing its shape.

Abstract: A floral arranging vase cover provides enhanced decoration and for supporting floral arrangements within a vase. The floral arranging cover includes a circular ring, inner bands and outer bands. Preferably, the floral arranging cover includes four to twelve inner bands which are arcuate in shape and have first and second ends which rotatably affix to the circular ring. The outer bands are also arcuate in shape and include first and second ends which attach to the circular ring. Preferably, the outer bands project outwardly from the ring and are arranged in an overlapping manner. Moreover, the outer bands are preferably affixed to adjacent bands to prevent their rotation about the circular ring. The floral arranging cover is placed upon a vase with the circular ring substantially adjacent to the vases' rim. The inner bands project inwardly to form a grid-like structure having openings for floral and plant stems.

Abstract: A flower web for organizing flowers in a regular or irregularly shaped open top of a vase. The flower web includes inner and outer loops and a plurality of flower dividers. The inner and outer loops share a common center and a common horizontal plane. The plurality of flower dividers are of generally elongated appearance and are in contact with the inner loop and extend radially outward from the inner loop such that the flower dividers intersect and contact the outer loop to define a first plurality of apertures between the inner and outer loops. The plurality of flower dividers extend radially outward for a predetermined distance beyond the outer loop. The underside of the flower dividers is optionally at least partly coated with an adhesive coating. In another embodiment, a peelable strip covers the adhesive coating.

Abstract: A floral design system is described having a base that is utilized to house water when displaying live flowers. A lid is designed to fit within the base and has a series of openings about its surface. A series of sleeves with a flap attachment configuration comprising upper and lower ridges are attached to the lid through the openings. The sleeves provide openings through which the stems of the flowers are passed to be held firmly in place. The sleeves are made out of a pliable material for conforming to the shape of the stem while providing a tight fit. The bottom of the stems protrudes down into the base for water supply.

Abstract: A device for covering the space between a top container rim of an inner plant growing container and the inside wall of an outer decorative container in which the inner plant growing container is placed, includes a plurality of arcuate pieces pivotally joined end to end, the device having opposite unconnected ends. The arcuate pieces are joined in a manner so that the device can be adjustably moved into ring configurations of different diameters to approximately fit within the inner wall of the decorative outer container and rest on the top rim of the inner growing container. Clips or tabs extend downwardly from the device to cooperate with the top rim of the inner container to hold the pieces from moving inwardly, thereby maintaining the adjusted diameter of the device and holding the device in position on top of the inner container. The device can be produced in a plurality of sizes, each size adjustable over a range of diameters.

The surface of the foam may be wet, as by spraying water thereon prior to shaping and partial curing, and may also be sprayed thereafter as by spraying water thereon.

Abstract: A floral arrangement is provided for supporting nutrient-receiving floral projections within a sealed liquid solution-filled portion of a container. The arrangement incorporates a free-forming solidifying composition adjacent to the opening of the container, which solidifies to firmly hold the floral projections in place, and to create a spill-proof protective barrier between the liquid solution and a surrounding environment. The arrangement is particularly useful for applications, wherein a soil-free, nutrient-rich environment can be maintained without the need for introducing protective substances into the liquid solution.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for arranging flowers without a vase. A series of nested members, each having a plurality of flower stem receiving channels, preferably between two and eight flower channels, are placed in nested configuration. Flower stems are placed in each of the receiving channels and the next larger member is placed over the stems. Larger members, for holding more flowers, can be placed over the next larger size. Preferably, one to four layers of members are used to create the flower arrangement.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the in situ manufacture of plant extracts from living plants. Since the plant remains intact, a flower or other component of the plant can be extracted one or more times. Following the extraction process, the plant is typically able to continue with its lifecycle. Such extracts have a variety of uses including use for, but not limited to: herbal and homeopathic medicines, hair and skin treatments, and cosmetics. The present invention also relates to apparatus useful for manufacturing plant extracts from living plants.

Abstract: A flexible grid for use in guiding a person to arrange flowers, and the like, includes a number of openings formed therein by woven-together fluffy fabric-coated, flexible wires. The flexible grid may be supported on, as by being bent around, or in an open top of a container to enable a number of different size floral stems to be inserted and frictionally held in the openings. The floral stems and the flexible grid may be removed as a unit from the open top of the container to enable the lower ends of the floral stems to be snipped for better water absorption, or to add water to the container.

Abstract: A container system for a floral arrangement, comprising a waterproof container having a base portion which can act as a water reservoir, and a separate insert locatable from above into a lower part of the container, the insert acting to confine from above water within the reservoir, the insert carrying a porous water-retaining material lying within the reservoir, the porous material extending upwardly through the insert so that an upper portion of the material is exposed to receive the stems of cut flowers and the like.
