  • Patent number: 8677708
Abstract: A wall structure includes first and second panels joined to form a stud and a first wall layer. A fastener extends through the first wall layer and into the stud. Each panel includes first and a second ends. The first end of one panel and the second end of the other panel form a portion of the stud. The ends of the panels can nest. The wall structure can include multiple wall layers arranged such that the seams formed by components of each wall layer are staggered with respect to the seams in adjacent wall layers. Reinforcing members and fasteners can secure the wall layers to the remainder of the structure. A similarly constructed roof structure can be joined with multiple wall structures to form a building.

  • Publication number: 20140075859
Abstract: A building insulation system for roofs and walls supported from the interior side of the building, which eliminates thermal bridges and bottom side ceiling fasteners to support the insulation system materials during the insulation and exterior sheeting process of the building construction. The insulation system creates an air gap space layer in roofs and in walls between the exterior wall and roof sheeting panels and the interior sheet material, which supports the insulation material layer. An air gap space enables active solar energy collection and its use to reduce the overall purchased energy for operation of the building. The insulation system preferably includes a support sheet material, a sheet material tensioning devices, an insulation material layer, insulation hanger retention devices, heat and air collection and distribution ducts, dampers, louvers, pipes, dehumidification and condensate collection devices used in the air gap layers of the building to improve the building energy efficiency.

  • Patent number: 8650825
Abstract: A furring strip fastening member is formed by a furring strip receiving plate, a bolt hole portion, a spring portion, and a rear face plate. The furring strip receiving plate and the rear face plate are shaped as flat plates that face each other. The bolt hole portion is provided at a central portion of the furring strip receiving plate. The spring portion connects the furring strip receiving plate and the rear face plate. The rear face plate has in a central portion thereof a through-hole. In a construction structure for buildings, a bolt is mounted to an anchor that is driven into a skeleton wall of a building that is formed by a concrete wall and a heat insulating material disposed outside the latter. This bolt traverses a through-hole in the rear face plate, and the bolt is screwed into a bolt hole portion. The furring strip is connected to the furring strip fastening member, and an external wall material is fastened to the furring strip.
