  • Patent number: 11673235
Abstract: A pair of pliers has a first and a second plier leg, which are mounted so as to be rotatable relative to one another in a joint region and which form gripping regions on one side of the joint region and a plier jaw on the other side. A locking part fixes position of the pliers. The locking part is rotatably mounted on the first plier leg at a transition between the gripping region and the joint region of the plier leg, and, in the fixed position, fixes the pliers by contact with the joint region of the second plier leg. The locking part, in the fixed position and under load, is in supporting contact both with the joint region of the second plier leg and with the gripping region of the first plier leg in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the plier legs.

  • Patent number: 11502485
Abstract: Stripping pliers have two outer clamping jaws, two inner cutting jaws and two handle parts, wherein, in the course of pressing together the handle parts, the cutting jaws can be displaced from a starting position into an end position by a pull rod against the force of a spring acting on the pull rod. The pull rod is traversed by a pull pin which can move in a slot. In order to configure the stripping pliers such that they are further improved in a manner which is advantageous for handling, the pull rod has, at its handle-side end, a displacement part which is fastened to the pull rod and which is displaceable against the force of the spring relative to the pull rod, to free the pull rod from a handle-side mounting.

The external periphery of the sleeve has a first positioning surface. The switching wheel has a through hole that corresponds to and selectively connects to the sleeve. The inner wall of the through hole has a second positioning surface. By turning the switching wheel, the second positioning surface and the first positioning surface can be aligned or misaligned. As a result the hand tool can be switched between two or more functions.

Abstract: A hand tool is operable to crimp a tubular metal contact member concentrically about the stripped end portion of an insulated fiber optic light-wave conductor in spaced relation to the free end extremity thereof. A tensioning arrangement tensions the excess portion of the conductor that extends beyond the contact member, whereupon a cutting device engages the tensioned portion of the conductor to sever cleanly the excess extremity from the conductor. The tensioning arrangement serves to deflect the conductor excess end portion obliquely outwardly relative to the longitudinal axis of the conductor. Tensioning is achieved by a deflecting disk positioned normal to the longitudinal axis of the light-wave conductor, or by a guide bore contained in a conductor guide device attached to the tool body. Preferably, two contact members are simultaneously crimped on a pair of conductors, and the excess ends of the conductors are simultaneously tensioned and severed.

A free end of a coaxial cable can be inserted into the marking structure until the free end of the coaxial cable completely abuts against the locating plate. Then, the coaxial cable is rotated to form a mark on the surface of the skin of the coaxial cable. With the mark, the coaxial cable is prepared to insert into a terminal connector by a correct insertion depth.

Abstract: A wire stripper adaption as disclosed comprises an output limiter to limit a splitting point of an insulation from an insulated wire at a first predetermined distance. The output limiter is suspended in any position radial to the wire leaving the wire stripper. An input guide is configured to axially align the insulated wire entering the wire stripper at a second predetermined distance radial to the wire entering the wire stripper. One of a circular hole and a semicircular hole defined in a body or the wire stripper itself cuts the insulation around the wire as it is circularly passed around a sharpened edge of the hole. The body defines three hole pairs configured to position an elongate cutting blade in the body for an operator to sharpen a first end of the elongate blade and a first and second beveled edges at an acute angle to the first end.

Abstract: A wire forming plier and electrical multi-tool for the purpose of forming, stripping, crimping and cutting electrical wire is disclosed. The plier features two arms overlapped and pivoted together; the posterior ends of the arms serve as handles. Two symmetrically shaped round barrels, different in size, identified with indicia, extend from the anterior ends of the plier arms for the purpose of forming a controlled bend in electrical wires/conductors of varying thicknesses/gauges to fit around specific terminal screw/stud sizes. As the handles are squeezed together, the cylindrical tips will grasp the electrical conductor by applying pressure to the wire between the round and smooth barrel surfaces. While the wire is securely held between the cylindrical tips the wire loop is quickly and easily formed around either barrel by manually rotating the entire tool about a longitudinal axis in either direction.

Abstract: A pair of wire strippers with a specially designed tip to allow stripping of type NM or NMC cable inside of electrical boxes is herein disclosed. The upper portion of the tip, is bent at a ninety degree (90°) angle to the main body of the stripper. This angled tip contains cutting blades designed to conform to the profile of type NM or NMC cable, commonly known as “Romex.” Due to this angled configuration, the wire stripper blades can easily fit into small electrical boxes and strip cable near the back of the box, as opposed to conventional wire strippers which cannot be used in such close quarters. To aid in proper positioning of the tip of the wire stripper, a “Z”-shaped parallel offset is provided. The wire strippers can also be used outside of boxes in an equally effective manner, thus an electrician is not required to carry two (2) pairs of wire strippers.
