Wheel Or Endless Track Operated Patents (Class 81/74)
  • Patent number: 11486513
Abstract: A portable valve handwheel tool includes a main drive arm that is configured to rotate a valve handwheel. The main drive arm includes a first drive spoke having a first retainer configured to engage a first spoke of the valve handwheel. The main drive arm further includes a first plate and a drive hub that extends from a broad side of the first plate of the main drive arm. The portable valve handwheel tool also includes a second drive arm having a second drive spoke with a second retainer. The second retainer is configured to engage a second spoke of the valve handwheel. • Patent number: 5410924
Abstract: A torque transfer apparatus and method wherein a device such as a pipe tong is provided with hard metallic inserts (steel) on the tong jaws with thin facing material (bonding key material) which is interposed between the surface of the pipe and the insert. This soft bonding key material, aluminum or bronze sheeting, or coatings of soft alloy, under pressure by the clamping force of the tong jaws flows into the imperfections in the pipe and the imperfections in the insert thereby creating a bond. The bond fails when the applied torque overcomes the shear strength of the key material, shearing off small protrusions from the surface of the key material. This leaves the pipe surface undamaged.

  • Patent number: 4103571
Abstract: The present invention is a tool used to demount polygonal hub nuts from a threaded axle located within a wheel hub. The tool comprises at least two steel bars slidably and rotatably joined by a buckle pivot. Each end of each bar is equipped with a rounded raised surface. The four rounded raised surfaces are dimensioned so the nut engaging end of the tool will fit snugly between one face of the hub nut and the wheel hub. The cross-member on the tool is rotated so lugs on the wheel hub strike a lug protection plate mounted on the cross-member. The tool transfers torque imparted to it by the lug to the hub nut. When not in use, the tool may be collapsed for ease of storage.
