Abstract: A method for image management of X-ray images stores the images in files along with reduced-size versions of the images and additional information relating to the images. A user may preview each image in a reduced-size display, based on the reduced-size image, which preview may also include the additional information. The image may then be selected from the display for complete display of the original image.
Abstract: Pharmaceutical compositions, processes for preparing the compositions and methods of using the composition are provided. The pharmaceutical composition comprises an inert core surrounded by an active coating containing one or more bisphosphonic acids or salts thereof, a seal coating surrounding the active coating and an enteric coating surrounding the seal coating. Alendronic acid and alendronate sodium trihydrate are the preferred active ingredients. The composition may be provided in the form of pellets in a capsule or Peltabs. The invention further provides methods for the treatment of disorders caused by the abnormal dissolution or deposition of calcium salts using the inventive compositions.
Abstract: The invention relates to inhibiting human platelet aggregation, thrombosis and cell activation mediated by PAR1 with peptide analogs corresponding to those of Formula I and II, wherein Formula I is:
Arg-Gly-Lys-Z4-Cys
wherein:
Z4 is any naturally occurring amino acid, excluding cysteine; and wherein Formula II is:
Arg-Gly-Asp-Z4-Cys
wherein:
Z4 is any naturally occurring amino acid, excluding cysteine.
