    Abstract: A composite is provided which comprises planar molybdenum oxide microstructures and cobalt oxyhydroxide microstructures disposed on the planar molybdenum oxide microstructures. A method of forming the composite is also provided. The composite is used in the fabrication of an electrochemical sensor, which comprises the composite, an electrode, and a polymeric coating. The electrochemical sensor is used in a method of detecting the presence of glucose in an analyte. The method involves applying a voltage to the electrochemical sensor relative to a counter electrode and measuring a current response. The method in insensitive to common oxidative interfering analytes such as urea, lactate, and NaCl.

    Abstract: A movable bougie tip device includes a tip section having a tip, a holder, and a recoiled wire and a bougie section having a bougie, a silk thread, and a slide button located at a first end thereof. The slide button adjusts an angle of the tip relative to the bougie. The silk thread is disposed within a body of the bougie and extends through an outer surface of the tip from the body of the bougie through an opening and protrudes out the tip. The holder holds the silk thread at a distal end of the tip section. The tip bends at an angle ranging from 30° to 90° relative to the bougie, and the recoiled wire prevents kinking of the tip.

The method further includes sonicating the mixture. The method further includes precipitating the Cu—Ag3PO4 nanoparticles or “nanoparticles”. The copper is present in the nanoparticles in an amount of 2 to 23 weight percent (wt. %) based on the total weight of the Cu—Ag3PO4. The nanoparticles of the present disclosure find application in treating cervical cancer, and colorectal cancer. The nanoparticles may also be used in photodegrading environmental pollutants.

The method further includes mixing the AgNPs with the second mixture to form a third mixture. The method includes evaporating water from the third mixture to form the silver nanohybrid material. The silver nanohybrid material includes a AgNP core covered with the first, second, and third ester derivatives bonded to the AgNP core.

A photographic image is taken of each vehicle which is committing a driving violation and the image and a violation report is transmitted to a transit authority. The system may be a static system mounted in the median of a roadway or may be a dynamic system mounted in a monitoring vehicle. The thermomechanical actuator includes a solar heat collector (SHC) housing shape memory alloy springs connected between a piston movably disposed therein and one end of the SHC. A cable extending from the piston through an opposite end of the SHC is connected to a bias load that develops returning force on the springs. In presence of solar radiation, the springs contract and cause linear movement of the piston in a direction of contraction and, in absence of the solar radiation, the springs expand and cause linear movement of the piston in direction of expansion. Useful power and work is extracted in form of the cleaning system from such linear movement of the piston.
