    Abstract: A method is provided to treat striae distensae lesions by topically applying to the skin affected with said lesions an effective amount of a treatment composition containing glycolic acid, preferably by daily application in a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle, as a cream base, at a concentration of from 15 to 20 percent by weight.
