  • Patent number: 11961744
Abstract: In a chamber, first processing is performed as preliminary processing. After the first processing has been finished, the temperature in a predetermined target region in the chamber is measured with a thermographic camera. Then, whether or not to start second processing on a substrate is determined in accordance with the acquired measured temperature information. If it is determined as a result that the second processing can be started, the second processing is performed. In this case, the second processing on the substrate can be started, with the temperature of the target region in the chamber having reached its stability. Accordingly, the second processing can be performed uniformly on a plurality of substrates. That is, it is possible to reduce variations in processing caused by temperature environments in the chamber.

  • Patent number: 9810588
Abstract: An optical fiber temperature sensor implements a temperature monitoring function in an interphase insulating material between sandwich bus bars. The optical fiber temperature sensor is formed by housing an optical fiber cable in a housing formed from an ultra-thin sheet made from an insulating material having insulation quality equal to or higher than interphase insulating material between sandwich bus bars. Multiple ultra-thin columnar members, each made from same material as is housing, are housed in multiple locations in housing. Multiple sensor rings are each formed by unfixedly winding a portion of optical fiber cable with a length equal to or longer than that corresponding to range resolution around corresponding one of ultra-thin columnar members. The multiple sensor rings measure temperatures in multiple locations. Silicone sealing is applied to housing side surfaces. All surfaces of housing are sealed with a hermetic sealing member made from a silicone-based liquid insulating material.

  • Patent number: 9599001
Abstract: An exhaust purification system for an internal combustion engine is provided that can maintain the NOx purification rate of a selective reduction catalyst at near the maximum thereof. The exhaust purification system is provided with an oxidation catalyst and CSF provided in the exhaust plumbing of the engine, a selective reduction catalyst that is provided in the exhaust plumbing on the downstream side of oxidation catalyst and CSF, and selectively reduces NOx in the exhaust, and a NO2 sensor that detects NO2 in the exhaust inside of the exhaust plumbing on the downstream side of the selective reduction catalyst. An ECU executes NO2-NOx ratio decrease processing to cause the NO2-NOx ratio corresponding to the ratio of NO2 to NOx in the exhaust flowing into the selective reduction catalyst to decrease, in a case of a detection value Vno2 from the NO2 sensor being greater than a predetermined value Vno2_th.

  • Patent number: 8978367
Abstract: An exhaust gas purifying system includes: a SCR catalyst which has a function of reducing NOx and absorbing NO2; an upstream catalyst which is provided at the upstream side of the SCR catalyst and has a three-way purification function; and an air-fuel ratio controller which controls the air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture. The controller calculates the NO2 storage amount of the SCR catalyst (S2), calculates a value of the NOx correlation parameter that increases in response to the NOx discharge amount (S4), sets the stoichiometry determination threshold value to a small value as the NO2 storage amount increases (S5), and changes the operation mode of the engine to the stoichiometry operation mode in which the air-fuel ratio is controlled to stoichiometry when the value of the NOx correlation parameter is larger than the stoichiometry determination threshold value (S6, S9).

  • Patent number: 8875497
Abstract: An exhaust purification system for an internal combustion engine is provided that can steadily maintain a NOx purification rate of a selective reduction catalyst to be high without allowing the fuel economy or marketability to deteriorate. The exhaust purification system includes a NO2—NOx ratio adjustment mechanism that causes a NO2—NOx ratio to change; and a NO2—NOx ratio perturbation controller that executes NO2—NOx ratio perturbation control so that a NO2 balance of the selective reduction catalyst in a predetermined time period, with NO2 adsorption being positive and NO2 release being negative, is 0. Herein, NO2—NOx ratio perturbation control is defined as control that alternately executes NO2 increase control to cause the NO2—NOx ratio to be greater than a reference value near 0.5, and NO2 decrease control to cause the NO2—NOx ratio to be less than the reference value.

  • Patent number: 8794219
Abstract: An EGR control apparatus for an internal combustion engine, which is capable of properly controlling an inert gas amount of two types of EGR gas supplied to cylinders of the engine via two paths different from each other, thereby making it possible to ensure a stable combustion state, reduced exhaust emissions, and improve operability. The EGR control apparatus includes low-pressure and high-pressure EGR devices, and an ECU. The ECU controls the low-pressure and high-pressure EGR gas amounts according to engine speed and demanded torque, and when a combination of engine speed and demanded torque is in a predetermined region, the low-pressure and high-pressure EGR gas amounts are controlled such that inert gas in low-pressure EGR gas exceeds in amount inert gas in high-pressure EGR gas, and the former more exceeds the latter as engine speed is higher or demanded torque is larger.

  • Patent number: 8734067
Abstract: A drill includes a pair of main cutting edges extending from a distal portion of the drill to a position close to a proximal end of the drill to entirely define a two-edge configuration, and a pair of auxiliary cutting edges extending between positions at the distal and proximal sides of a maximum diameter position to partly define a four-edge configuration. A ridgeline of each auxiliary cutting edge is located within an angle smaller than 90° from a ridgeline of the corresponding main cutting edge toward the rear in a rotation direction of the drill. The point angle of the auxiliary cutting edges increases at a higher rate than the point angle of the main cutting edges in a predetermined range from the maximum diameter position toward a distal end of the drill.

  • Patent number: 8671660
Abstract: A catalyst degradation determination device is provided that can determine the degradation of a selective reduction catalyst with high precision while also suppressing a temporary decline in purification performance. By way of controlling a urea injection device, the catalyst degradation determination device increases, in a selective reduction catalyst in a state in which the storage amount is a maximum, the storage amount thereof by a detection reduced-amount portion DSTNH3—JD, and then decreases the amount until it is determined that ammonia slip has occurred. Then, degradation is determined based on the time at which the slip determination flag FNH3—SLIP was set to “1” when fluctuating the storage amount. The detection reduced-amount portion DSTNH3—JD is set to a value that is larger than the storage capacity of the selective reduction catalyst in a degraded state and smaller than the storage capacity of the selective reduction catalyst in a normal state.
