    Abstract: A composite solid-state electrolyte, a preparation method thereof and an all-solid-state lithium metal battery. The composite solid-state electrolyte includes a cationic poly(ionic liquid) as a matrix; and an ionic covalent organic framework, TpPa—SO3Li, as a filler. The method for preparing a composite solid-state electrolyte includes combining the poly(ionic liquid) with the ionic covalent organic framework to prepare the composite solid-state electrolyte. The composite solid-state electrolyte can have excellent ionic conductivity up to 1.23×10?3 Scm?1 and Li ion transport number (tLi+) up to 0.82 at room temperature. The composite solid-state electrolyte and the all-solid-state lithium metal battery containing the composite solid-state electrolyte provided by the present invention can achieve long-term safety while achieving high performance, and show great potential in the practical application of all-solid-state lithium metal batteries with high security.

    Abstract: This invention discloses a pneumatic and cable-driven hybrid artificial muscle, comprising pneumatic actuator, pneumatic pressure regulating assembly, and cable drive assembly. The pneumatic pressure regulating assembly is connected to the pneumatic actuator to regulate air pressure in the pneumatic actuator for controlling the pneumatic actuator to extend or contract. The cable actuation assembly comprises a cable fixedly connected to the pneumatic actuator for controlling the pneumatic actuator to contract. In this invention, the artificial muscle employs a dual pneumatic and cable actuation mechanism. By leveraging the inherent stiffness of the pneumatic actuator, it can provide substantial actuation force for joint movement. Simultaneously, the cable actuation assembly can provide significant pulling force, effectively ensuring safety in human-machine interaction and offering sufficient bidirectional aiding force to individuals with disabilities who use the artificial muscle as an aiding actuation device.

    Abstract: A high fiber count, ferrule-terminated optical fiber cable assembly includes a high density two-dimensional array of optical fibers extending through a single aperture of a ferrule, with the optical fibers within the ferrule aperture each having a core, a cladding layer, and a hard coating layer (e.g., having an elastic modulus greater than 100 MPa). Hard coated optical fibers are arranged very close to (e.g., within two microns of, or in contact with) one another, with a substantially constant fiber pitch within the ferrule. A fusion splice region may be provided between ferrule terminated hard-coated optical fibers and conventional optical fibers lacking a hard coating. High optical fiber density and compact ferrule size permits a significant reduction in connector width, enabling a numerical reduction or elimination of staggered lengths of cable portions for coupling ultra-high density optical fiber cables.
