  • Patent number: 10931516
Abstract: Some examples relate to detecting network link failure. In an example, a determination may be made at a first network device on a network regarding an average round-trip delay time (RTD) between the first network device and a second network device over a given time interval during a given period of time. Then, for the given time interval, a keepalive packet may be sent from the first network device to the second network device at the average RTD of the given time interval for a keepalive time. In response to a determination, by the first network device that there is no acknowledgement of the keepalive packet from the second network device during the keepalive time, a network link between the first network device and the second network device may be identified as failed.

  • Patent number: 10924977
Abstract: The disclosure relates in some aspects to forbidden area procedures and connection release management for a user terminal (UT). Forbidden area-related procedures include, for example, using a special paging area code (PAC) in conjunction with a forbidden area, defining a location reporting threshold for a UT based on the proximity of the UT to a forbidden area, or using a default paging area code if a service restriction for a UT has ended. Connection release management includes, for example, a UT sending a request to cause the release of a Radio Connection that the UT no longer needs, or a UT sending a Location Indication (e.g., including a flag requesting release of a connection) to release the connection used for location reporting when a UT is done sending the location information and is going to go back to idle mode.

  • Patent number: 10856209
Abstract: The disclosure relates in some aspects to managing paging area information for a user terminal (UT) and connection signaling. In some aspects, paging area information is provided for an idle UT by defining a default paging area code (PAC) that is known by the network and the UT. In some aspects, paging area information is communicated via connection signaling. In some aspects, connection signaling may be used to force a UT to invoke an update procedure (e.g., a reconnection).

  • Patent number: 10731388
Abstract: A latch described herein comprises a ratchet movable between a primary closed position, a secondary closed position and an open position. The ratchet is biased towards the open position for facilitating travel of a striker in a fishmouth of the latch to the secondary closed position. The latch includes a pawl movable between a primary locking position, a secondary locking position and an unlocking position. The pawl is biased towards the primary locking position and has a pawl locking surface for holding the ratchet in the primary closed position and the secondary closed position. The latch includes a lift lever biased towards the open position for moving the striker in the fishmouth away from the secondary closed position and towards the open position when the pawl is in the unlocking position. • Patent number: 10630706
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for detecting security threats in a local network. A security analytics system collects data about entities in the local network. The raw data can be filtered to extract data fields from the raw data that are relevant to detecting security threats in the local network. The filtered data can be converted into structured data that formats the information in the filtered data. The structured data may be formatted based on a set of schema, and can be used to generate a set of features. The security analytics system can use the generated features to build machine-learned models of the behavior of entities in the local network. The security analytics system can use the machine-learned models to generate threat scores representing the likelihood a security threat is present. The security analytics system can provide an indication of the security threat to a user.
