Abstract: A method and a dental implant system for accessing selected intra-cavity locations there-through that includes: (a) a dental implant having a plurality of openings configured for being implanted in an intra-cavity area of a patient, wherein each one of the plurality of openings allows access from an external area of the dental implant to a space in the intra-cavity area between the implant and a jawbone of the patient, when the dental implant is installed in the intra cavity; and (b) one or more directing element that is removably securable to the dental implant, wherein the directing element includes openings and is configured to allow access to one or more specific locations at this space through a selected at least one of the plurality of openings of the dental implant, when secured thereto.

Abstract: The present invention provides transmucosal pharmaceutical or nutraceutical compositions and methods for enhancing transmucosal delivery of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical ingredients through use of methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) as a transmucosal delivery enhancer. In particular, the invention provides transmucosal compositions comprising an active agent selected from a non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID); an analgesic; a migraine medication; a menopause medication; a sleep disorder medication; an erectile dysfunction medication, an appetite suppressant, a vitamin, a food supplement and a macromolecule. In certain particular exemplary formulations the appetite suppressant is DL-phenylalanine, and the vitamin is B12.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition for use in the transdermal administration of a medicament to both humans and animals, which composition comprises at least ingredients (1) and (2) of the following ingredients (1), (2) and (3), namely: (1) an effective amount of a medicament adapted for transdermal administration; (2) a transdermally transporting effective amount of a carrier for the medicament, which carrier is selected from semisolids and liquids at ambient temperatures, and which carrier comprises at least one compound selected from esters of C.sub.8-24 fatty acids, pharmaceutically acceptable aliphatic polyhydroxy compounds and non-volatile paraffins; (3) an optional medicament selected from antiinflammatory agents and antihistamines, effective to mitigate any skin-incompatibility characteristic which may otherwise be present.
