Abstract: The present invention involves a method for permanently embedding a protective covering in an article of clothing over at least one predetermined portion of the clothing that can be worn by infants, children and adults. The protective covering is made from a thermoplastic material that is applied to and thermally bonds or co-mingles with the outermost fabric fibers of the clothing creating a permanently embedded, liquid impermeable, non-porous protective covering, including an increased height edge, which covering retains the same flexibility as the underlying fabric of the clothing article. The protective covering can be positioned across the top front portion of the clothing article and extend downward to a lower portion of the front of the clothing article creating an easy to clean particle and dirt resistant covering for the clothing article.

Abstract: A knee pad holding mechanism for holding a knee pad over the knee region of a pantleg having a first length of fabric material and a second length of fabric material operatively secured together to form a pocket, the pocket being sized and shaped to receive a knee pad and having at least one opening located along each of the outside edges of the pocket for receiving a strap associated with the knee pad. In one embodiment, the first length of fabric material can be secured directly to the knee region of a pantleg wherein the pantleg forms the second length of fabric material. Other embodiments include using a loop, eyelet, slits or an additional section of fabric having a slit associated therewith for receiving a strap associated with the knee pad. The present mechanism is also adaptable for use to receive an elbow pad.

Abstract: A face and chin guard device includes a soft and absorbent main body having a shape and size that is suitable for extending across the face of a wearer. A pair of straps extend outward from the sides of the main body and can be fixed length, adjustable or elastic in nature. A central indentation is provided along the main body and can be adjustable in nature. The device also includes a central aperture along the main body, and a wire disposed along the indentation for allowing movement only along a single plane. The main body also includes decorative elements.

Abstract: A versatile article of clothing that combines portability and wearability for maximum flexibility. The article of clothing can be worn in a variety of configurations, and even stored in the adaptable back pack when not in use. The jacket portion is reversible for stylistic variety and accommodates attachment of the backpack on both the front and back of the jacket.

Abstract: A convertible garment, such as a jacket, tunic, sweater or vest, capable of being folded and converted into a carry-on bag and adapted for carrying articles normally carried in a handbag, briefcase, carry-on bag or suitcase, with pockets on the outside and in the lining portion of the garment, arranged so that the garment is not distorted by items carried within said pockets. The garment also has a back panel accessible from inside of the garment for carrying articles such as socks, underwear, shirts and trousers, with special compartments for such clothes. Zippers and hook and loop fasteners are used as closures for some of the pockets. A method for folding the garment and converting it into a conventional carry-on bag is also disclosed.

Abstract: A glove that does not have to be removed and allows quick bare index finger trigger contact for shooting of a pistol or rifle. Simple modification of a standard five fingered glove that still allows for normal use after the modification. My invention allows for instant bare finger contact with a control surface, such as a trigger, touch screen display and casting of a fishing line from a spinning reel.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a glove system which can shield a portion of the hand from the capacitive sensors of the touch screen, while allowing for direct touching of the screen by desired exposed portions of the hand or capacitive resistance portions of the glove. This glove system can include grip portions which have alternative materials which can selectively increase or decrease the coefficient of friction between the surface and the glove. The glove can also include finger apertures at a tip portion of the glove so as to facilitate direct touching when desired.

Abstract: The present invention provides a heat reflective clothing to keep the body of a person warm in cold climate. The heat reflective clothing comprises Mylar and wool, wherein the Mylar has a reflective surface. The clothing provides excellent thermal insulation and moisture wicking properties and could be adapted into a jacket, gloves, footwear, apparel, hat and other clothing accessories.

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention relate to systems and methods of integrating dynamic materials into articles for adjustable physical characteristics (e.g., aesthetic, functional). For example, in response to a human's body heat, a dynamic material may change shape to allow additional permeability in an article of clothing. Similarly, in response to the presence of moisture, an article of clothing may close a vent to prevent the introduction of rain into an internal portion of the article. The shape changing material may change shape that merely affects a feature formed by the shape changing material. Additionally, it is contemplated that the shape changing material may change shape that affects a geometric structure of the article as a whole (e.g., protrusions, dimples, vents, etc.).

Abstract: A belt with a recess defined in the surface of the belt. The recess is configured to receive and hold an insert in place. A magnet is positioned behind the recess and the insert is fabricated from a magnetic material. The depth of the recess is such that a significant portion or all of the thickness of the insert fits within the recess thus alleviating the risk of the insert being inadvertently dislodged from the belt.

Abstract: A hair extension and a method of attaching said hair extension to scalp hair. The hair extension comprises a plurality of hair strands, each hair strand having a first end and an opposing second end, and extending from a proximal end to a distal end. A weft is coupled to the plurality of hair strands and extends substantially perpendicularly to said plurality of hair strands intermediate the first and second ends from the proximal end to the distal end of said hair strands to form a first portion between the first end and weft and a second portion between the weft and second end. The hair extension is attached to scalp hair by interweaving the first portion of a first hair extension to scalp hair beginning at the proximal end of the hair strands toward the distal end of the hair strands to forming braided section.

The stuffing (4) of the present invention can still maintain at a dispersedly stuffing state after multiple washings, without notable phenomena such as agglomeration and entanglement.

In some configurations, the knit type or yarn type may vary in different regions of the knitted component to impart different properties. Abstract: A boot including a bow-shaped structure is disclosed to prevent water entry from the mouth of the boot. The boot generally includes a sole, an upper portion attached to the sole, a foot portion, a leg portion, and a bow-shaped structure on the front and sides of the leg portion. The edge of the bow-shaped structure tapers up towards the front of the leg portion. The bow part of the bow-shaped structure preferably project outwards 1.75 inches from the surface of the leg portion. While walking in deep water, the bow-shaped structure breaks the upward movement of the water and pushes it back down. The bow-shaped structure is molded onto the boot during the manufacturing of the boot. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a bow-shaped structure that can be attached to leg portion of a boot is provided.

Thus, a convertible shoe is provided, and consists of a shoe top portion, bottom portion, and sole. The top portion could be changeable in colors and designs, as per the requirements of the users. Alternatively, each of the interchangeable top portions may include unique features, such that the features of the shoe may be modified by exchanging top portions. The interchangeable sole portions may include a common set of features (e.g., structure, design, color, etc.). This convertible shoe is especially useful for women as it has a strong grip and is noise free while walking.

Abstract: An orthotic device for insertion into footwear for correcting over pronation or supination of a foot is disclosed herein. The orthotic device may include an insole comprising an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper surface of the insole may receive and support at least a portion of the foot. The orthotic device also may include a removable angle insert attachable to the lower surface of the insole. The removable angle insert may increase an angle about a side of the insole to correct over pronation or supination of the foot.

The footwear can include an upper, a support cage and a sole assembly. The upper can be joined with the sole assembly and can include an exterior. The sole assembly can define a recess extending across a width of the sole assembly from a medial side to a lateral side. The support cage can be constructed from a semi-rigid but flexible polymeric material, disposed over the exterior of the upper and free floating relative to the exterior of the upper. The support cage can include a sole bridge that extends transverse to a longitudinal axis of the footwear, through the recess defined by the sole assembly.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments relate to a footwear system. The footwear system includes a shoe, a first insole, and a second insole. The first insole is a fitting insole having a first volume. It is positioned within the shoe during a fitting of a potential wearer of the shoe. The fitting insole is removed after the fitting is completed. The second insole has a volume substantially similar to the first volume. The second insole adapted for positioning within the shoe if the first insole demonstrates an appropriate fit. The second insole is self-customizable and further adapted to conform to the imprint of the sole of the potential wearer.

Abstract: A shoe support structure comprising a hard rubber-like material and a gel material. The rubber-like material is constructed so that it has a change in thickness beginning at the arch, where it slopes down, leveling out at a thickness of about 1¼ inches. This change in thickness creates a frontal recess, leaving a bead of rubber at the outer edge. This cavity holds a thick cushion of about 1¾ inches of highly viscous gel material held in place by the rubber lip and adhered to the elastic material. This creates a cushion when the foot applies weight. The front of the sole and the back of the heel are equal in height, giving the entire surface equal height planes for balance. The two materials are one rubber like, one gel like and slope toward each other at the arch in identical angles.

Abstract: The present invention belongs to the technical field of shoe spikes, and more particularly relates to a carborundum wear-resistant shoe spike. The carborundum wear-resistant shoe spike comprises a shoe spike main body and a nickel coating attached to the surface of the shoe spike main body; the surface of the shoe spike main body is also provided with a carborundum layer, and the nickel coating is disposed between the shoe spike main body and the carborundum layer. Compared with the prior art, the present invention lies in that the outer surface of the nickel coating is provided with the carborundum layer, and since the carborundum layer has the characteristics of good toughness, high hardness, good wear resistance and the like, the wear resistance property of the shoe spike can be greatly improved, and the service life of sports shoes using the shoe spike is prolonged.

Abstract: Woven and knit substrates having juxtaposed notches with finished edges are disclosed. Such substrates can be used as opposed fastener tapes and fastener elements can be formed, woven, or otherwise added to the opposed fastener tapes in a known fashion. The notched fastener tapes permit the resulting slide fastener to be curved in-plane without buckling either of the opposed the fastener tapes out-of-plane. The finished edges maintain structural integrity of the woven or knit substrates, in stark context to prior art substrates having cut notches. Also disclosed are panelized substrates having curved apertures and incorporating disclosed slide fasteners.
