  • Patent number: 11657884
Abstract: A non-volatile memory system erasing groups of connected memory cells separately performs erase verify for memory cells connected to even word lines to generate even results and erase verify for memory cells connected to odd word lines to generate odd results. The even results and the odd results are used to determine if the erase verify process indicates that the erasing has successful completed. In addition, for each group of connected memory cells, a last even result for the group is compared to a last odd result for the group. Even if the erase verify indicated that the erasing has successfully completed, the system may determine that the erasing failed (i.e. due to a defect) if the number of groups of connected memory cells that have the last even result different than the last odd result is greater than a limit.

  • Publication number: 20230078734
Abstract: An apparatus, method, and system for detecting a leaking occluder valve is disclosed. Upper and lower occluder elements of an infusion pump are activated to compress a fluid tubing filled with a fluid to isolate the fluid in an upstream portion of the tubing from a downstream portion of the tubing. While the fluid tubing is compressed by the occluder elements, a pumping element of the infusion pump is activated to compress an intermediate portion of the tubing, between the downstream portion and the upstream portion, to cause a pressure increase within the fluid tubing. Using at least one pressure sensor, a determination is made as to whether the pressure increase is present in a portion of the fluid tubing on a side, of an activated occluder element, opposite the intermediate portion of the tubing.

  • Publication number: 20230067655
Abstract: A method may include capturing, by a camera at an infusion pump, one or more images of the pump loaded with an infusion set. A machine learning model may be applied to the images to detect nonconformities that may be present in the images of the pump loaded with the infusion set. Examples of nonconformities include a misload of the intravenous set in which an upper fitment, a lower fitment, and/or a tubing of the intravenous set is misplaced within the pump. In response to an output of the machine learning model indicating a presence of a nonconformity in the one or more images of the pump loaded with the infusion set, a corrective action may be performed. For example, the pump may be prevented from performing an infusion and a message identifying the nonconformities may be generated. Related methods and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11468404
Abstract: A bin assembly, bin identification system and method are disclosed. A container bin assembly includes a bin body, a latching mechanism, and controller. A method includes receiving, via a communication interface, an authenticated request to access the smart container, actuating an electromechanical latch to disengage a fastening hook, thereby initiating a mechanical movement of an access component to make an internal compartment accessible, outputting, via an audiovisual element, an alert to identify the container, confirming that the electromechanical latch has re-engaged with the fastening hook, thereby securing the internal compartment, determining a change in a local inventory, and updating the local inventory in a non-volatile data store according to the change.

  • Publication number: 20220126020
Abstract: A method of detecting a fault condition in an infusion process, the method includes receiving a programmed flow rate pertaining to a fluid infusion provided by an infusion device; determining, a first weight of an infusion container associated with the fluid infusion provided by the infusion device at a first time; determining a second weight of the infusion container at a second time; determining based on the first weight and the second weight, a determined flow rate of the fluid infusion provided by the infusion device between the first time and the second time. The method includes determining a difference between the determined flow rate and the programmed flow rate. When a magnitude of the difference between the determined flow rate and the programmed flow rate satisfies a predetermined threshold, by the processor: causing an output of the infusion device or the weight sensor to indicate the fault condition.

  • Publication number: 20210401670
Abstract: A system, method and device for determining a volume of a fluid in a medication container is disclosed. An infusion of a medication is initiated from a medication container. The medication container includes one or more radio frequency identification (RFID) tags affixed along a side of the container. A radio frequency (RF) signal is directed from a reader device toward the RFID tags disposed on the medication container. A signal strength of one or more returned respective RF signals from the one or more RFID tags is detected, the returned RF signals including one or more identifiers for identifying the one or more RFID tags. A threshold signal level for determining a level of fluid within the medication container is determined, and a volume of the fluid is then determined by determining which of the returned respective RF signals has a signal strength satisfying the threshold signal level.
